Grove of Prey Boss

Hey guys, I doubt anyone actually comes on this forum much, but I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how in the blue hell I beat the Paleofungus Lvl.50?

It's kicking my ass and I've spent hours trying to do it but it's all a waste...

Anyway, no one seems to have any advice, tried googling and GameFAQs, but it's not happening.

I just reached this point in my game and got my ass whipped as well. There is limited information on the web, but I did find the subject talked about in the web sites below. Hopefully these prove useful to you.

I was able to beat the Paleofungus, and the entire game for that matter. I don't know how helpful this will be, but this was my stategy.

There is only two battles that you need to complete in order to finish this level. One is a easy monster in the beginning, and the other is the Paleofungus that is up at the top of the map, blocking the exit. My stategy was to beat the level and then return later when my beasts were at higher levels and much stronger. I brought into battle three of the purple ants, beat the Paleofungus, and returned much later with a stronger beast and wrecked havoc on all of them.

Ah right, you are not really supposed to kill the Boss, you've to let the other monster devour it! AHHHHH. Cheers for the tips guys, might finally get to finish this game.

As you found out you do not need to fight them to finish the level. However if you want to get all the awards for the level, you will need to fight some of those level 50 monsters.

Once I had finished the storyline and done all the other awards, I was level 57. Then I came back and the fight was fairly easy.
