Delay in reponse?

i dont have a kinect yet, but i will be getting one before xmas

i went to a supermarket to play this as they had it on display, to me it feels like there is a 1-2 second delay in response, is it me or is this how the game was developed?

For most things its pretty responsive, specifically in Joy Ride sometimes he has trouble when you pull back for the turbo boost. It also depends on the game, Dance Central is probably the most accurate and responsive, while Motion sports is one of the worst with many predefined sequences that have nothing to do with your actual movement time as long as you make the window to do the movement.

With Joy Ride I don't have any problem with lag / response time. The big thing to remember is to make subtle moves not spastic moves. Really the problem with Joy Ride is it is full of missed potential. The events all play fine but since every car you unlock is basically the same "under the hood" there is really no need to drive any of the others, unless you like the way it looks or are going for the achievement. With just some tweaking they could have streamlined the user innerface (too many pages to confirm before doing anything) and reduced loading times. The game does not deserve all the hate and low scores it is getting since it is not a broken unplayable mess but it should have been better for the amount of time it was in development.

It all depends on what TV setup you're using, people always seem to forget about video lag. If the Kinect games are seeming unresponsive on your 52" plasma, play on a small LCD monitor and I promise everything will suddenly be 1:1.

Dance Central overcomes this by having an option to calibrate for the lag.

I got the demo and it seems quite hard to play.
