Pinvaders Pin Rush Doing the Splits Table Tennis Champion The bowling minigames are a result of my inability to consistently throw a bowling ball from my left hand, so I can't really count those. For winning on champion, I won boxing and football first try. Table Tennis is the only one that's really been difficult for me. Kilometer King and Bumpasaurus definitely rank up there as the hardest ones. So I guess my three hardest would be Kilometer King, Bump-a-saurus, Blade Center Champion (Table Tennis) |

I think the football was me kicking too hard, as I score nearly every time now with my left foot.
Glad you agree on the Rapid Runner + Bump Bash (they took me a while). Sorry to hear your still having grief with your left hand. Have you tried moving the Kinect sensor, or standing on a step, etc. - or how about holding something in your left hand to make it look bigger ?? |

for me, the hardest ones are the winning boxing on champion, winning on bowling and do more than 250 points in bowling...
i am not really good at bowling and the guy is really good at boxing

Same for me, the bowling ones and also the one where you need to hit the electrical equipment in Javelin, I have tried a lot on both of those and not managed it yet.

I think with the bowling it's all about your position.
If you can find the sweet spot - just stay in place and bowl really boringly straight down the middle. |

This is exactly what I did. And I got lucky that the computer decided to suck that game. I won 255-234. Just found a spot where I could bowl a strike right down the middle, more or less, and kept my feet planted there for the whole game. Only took me 2 or 3 attempts.

This was my setup: - TV is in front of me (about 8 feet), about 3 feet off the ground, with the Kinect sensor sitting on the base of the TV stand - There is a lamp on the right side of the TV, just behind the plane of the TV screen - There is a lamp behind my right shoulder, about 10 feet back, in the corner of the room. This was how the lighting was in my basement for a while, so I figured it had something to do with my left hand, and there being no significant lighting on the left side of the room. So I replaced the two recessed light bulbs, both of which are behind my left shoulder, in the ceiling, about 6 and 8 feet behind me. This brought my throw-rate with my left hand up from 20% of the time to around 80-90% of the time. Not perfect, but a huge improvement. I noticed when watching the pinvaders achievement video guide, that 1 or 2 times the guy from Rare also doesn't register a throw with his left hand. So maybe I'm back at par now. I just haven't gone back and seriously tried Pin Rush or Pinvaders since, because of how ridiculously frustrating it was. |

The only other suggestions are..
(1) Try not standing dead centre of your Kinect (try slightly to left or right of centre). (2) Angle your body slightly to the right - so you are facing to sort of 1 o'clock instead of 12 o'clock (this improved my Javelin score too). Last edited by jay71uk; 03-10-2011 at 08:01 PM. |

Ok I changed my mind. Pinvaders is easily the hardest achievement. It's the only minigame I can't do. I can't get over 150 consistently because it's impossible to throw a ball with my left hand. No matter what I do. Lighting everywhere. No lighting. Kinect sensor all over the place. Nothing works. This achievement is literally impossible for me to get when I can only use one hand.

I'm still struggling with discus too - I just can't seem to get a reliable technique.
All the other Track&Field I can destroy.. Sprint {under 7secs} Hurdles {under 14 secs} Javelin {over 125m} Long Jump {over 15m} So - it's not like I'm a duffer - or I've got it set up wrong. I don't know - discus is just boring me now

Well I still have to get 5:
Track & Field Champion Kilometer king Bowling - 250+ (Just cannot throw the strikes consistently) Bowling - Champion Bowling - Splits. So these are obviously hard for me. From the ones that took some time and are hard: - Boxing Champion ( I tried many times and when it was over, I was so sore...) - Football - Super Saver (many times game over for me was on 99 ... so frustrating) - Bump-osaurus (I cheated to get this one- shameful achievement) - Javelin - Circuit breaker ( Just hard to get that 103m to 104m throw right on target...) |

There's a thread for throwing strikes every time. Might want to check that out.
What I did was basically throw the ball right down the middle every time, but slightly off-center. I would always hit the head pin slightly on the right side. Once I got in a stance to throw a strike, I would keep my feet planted in that position throughout the match. You don't need to bowl a perfect game to win on Champion. When I won, I won 255-234. Thankfully the AI did terrible, and I got the Champion and 250 achievements in bowling. |

I've sort of gone off FPS games at the moment (maybe it's too many family Kinect games turning me nice).
I just can't seem to get into them or believe them as much as I used to. I still love the Left 4 Dead games though

OK now the only one I need is beating Boxing on Champion - I have tried all sorts of methods but none work, I have a real problem with boxing low it will hardly ever pick it up and the worldwind method doesn't work for me......

Hey mate, I had trouble getting the low blocks to register too. I fought the boxing champion for 3 hours before I finally beat him. What I did, was alternate as quick as possible between the high block and low block. For the low block, I would basically push my elbows out to the side and bring my fists in front of my chest. When it works and you get the power hits, go to town on the man. You're unlikely to win via TKO but knockdowns will give you valuable points for the decision.

i found doing boxing wasnt that hard. I can get a tko in the 1st round. All i do is very fast jabs with both hand to the face and then to the stomach rinse and repeat,if he blocks low go high then vice versa. You may take a few hits but you should be able to get a 1st round tko,

Finally got it, I had some little people playing my kinect so I moved it down to their level which was about waist level and it seems to pick up the low blocks perfectly...still took a few tries but when I finally did it I knocked him down twice each in the first two rounds...was about to knock him down a third time but time ran out...He knocked down just once in the third round but still won easy....thanks guys, just one more easy achievement to finish this one off.

For me, it's Turkey Triumph. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten 2 strikes and then messed up and missed the third one.
