Completing a Career

In order to get the "complete a career" achievements, do you have to complete every song in the game on any given instrument? The reason I ask is because I seem to remember other GH titles where you could get "complete the career"-type achievements without playing every song, you just needed to make it to the end.

I believe it's only the VH songs, unless it specifically says to play all of the songs
