Fallout: New Vegas Guides, Locations & Achievement Methods!

I thought it'd be a good idea to create a thread which includes links to helpful guides and lists, so here we go:

ACHIEVEMENTS
Guides and methods for achievements.
NOTE: Some methods require you to delete any updates from your HDD.

LOCATIONS
Locations for collectibles and useful stuff.

EXTERNAL LINKS
External links to guides, maps and helpful lists.

MISC
Miscellaneous stuff.

Please comment if you know something that should be added to the list. Thanks!

I have nothing to add but a suggestion- this should be stickied! I just 100% the game so while I don't need this anymore having it before would have saved me some serious searching time!!!

You should include the fallout wiki link somewhere in there, it is easily the best source of information imo

Anyone have a good sniper build? I am currently at the very start of the game. Where should I put my skillpoints in? Every guide I find some other guy tells te TC it sucks...

Great compilation of links and useful tips. Granted you may not have done all the hard work, but you made it quick and easy to find everything essential to Fallout: NV.

Just some quick info on the guide. Over all its a very good guide and helped me get quite a few achievements! Thanks a bunch.

However it needs updated since the new patch. The lockpick method is no good anymore. Also this one im not 100% on but I believe the Speech challenge one has been patched as well. You can no longer recieve exp, and credits towards your speech challenge like this anymore. You can continue to get the speech option, however no exp shows up, and checking your stats shows that the speech part only counts for the first one.

clearing your cache may alow you to get the achievements in this manner, however i think you have to play offline, and for people who try to get their timestamps for their acheivements this would not be an option. Im not 100% sure on that either as I dont even try to do it.

I would have expected the achievement guide to say, but it didn't. Go to the weapon in your pip-boy screen and press

to see what mods you have. I think you just press

to attach the selected mod.

Like a month late on this one, but I think you could clear your cache, do those glitches until just before the target number (like 49 speech challenges, level 29, etc.), save, and then upload the patch and log back on. That way, you should get a timestamp too.
