Rare Monster Whitehorn in Aveclyff

Hello!!

Has someone killed that one?? It appear in the Upper Lever, North Western area but... I have been there around.... OVER NINE THOUSAND times and never poped.

Someone who have killed it, can tell me whic types of monster were in the dungeon when it poped?? There were dragons or blackwings in the basement? Arachnids or vile plants? Were Vultures, or not??

Something to help to not do all the way to there : /

i killed the DLC monster down there in the center, then just took me 15 minutes to find the rare monster!!he only spawn when a giant bird are flying in the center of the main area..

There are three conditions to spawn a Whitehorn.

1) 2 spiders in the first room you see.
2) 2 dragons at the bottom
3) no vulture in the middle room of the upper level southern set.
(if you don't get what I mean, just turn left after seeing the bottom level and enter the door)

From my personal experience, ~90% of times there will be spiders in the first room.
~50% of times there are also Dragons below.
~5% of times Vulture is absent.

I'm not absolutely sure that those are ALL the conditions (there might be some more), but when I did that quest last time, I found a Whitehorn only when all three of them were met.


PS. It's not my discovery, all credit goes to some guy at gamefaqs. Or some other guy.

Those two are the conditions that worked for me. Just ran in past the 2 spiders, entered the main upper level, turned left and went through the first door, turned right to the second door and opened it. If there wasn't a vulture on the right hand side after opening that second door then I'd go and check for Whitehorn who would either be by himself or the room would be empty.

What worked can save you time is going to the rooms left at the start so basically opposite the doors you enter to get to whitehorn...look for a vulture if there is no vulure in the opposite doors then there will be no vultures in the whitehorn spawn...saved me alot of time

I couldn't find them in Mnt. Vackel (from other posters it seems that if your BR is around 108 or more you'll only get Glorious Brynhildr which don't count.

If that's the case, you'll find them in Ancient Ruins in the SW and NW rooms of Metopon Tier - Notus Map where, if you attack a Glorious Brynhildr, a normal Brynhildr will join in the fight as a secondary Union.

Basically enter Map 1, if you see Charybidis then there's a chance Glorious Brynhildr's will have spawned, otherwise back out and reenter from the world map until you get Charybidis (the alternatives are Rockgraters or nothing at all).

Then progress straight forwards to Map 2, then Map 3, Map 4 and finally Map 5 and check the SW and NW rooms on the map.

It's a pain, but on the plus side you'll level your BR very quickly what with all the Giants and Demons you'll be dealing with on the way there.

i have met all the conditions to get the whitehorn to appear, 2 spiders at start, 2 black dragons at bottom, no vulture in room but i cant seem to get the other side of upper level looked through this forum and gamefaqs and they give instructions like take the elavator in fron of you all the way down, well the elevator in front of me is not there can anyone give precise instructions on how to get there i would be grateful

For Absolute Conqueror you may still need to grind but try this.

Make 4 unions and aim for equal HP each. Close to or over 5k would be good.

Only using healing leaders and include Emmy is you have her levelled up. I used cyclops but Namul Niram can help.

When you have the second of the first 2 enemies flashing break all deadlocks, use one union to keep hp up and heal with the others. You must go in to absolute conqueror with full health.

If you get cyclops or namul niram then avoid deadlock with conqueror. ie aim for 1 deadlock per turn.

Use attack from the sides.

Don't rely too much on heavens door - only use it with full health as he quite often dodges it. If you have full health try a second deadlock but no more.

Heal at all times.

You're probably trying to get him too early.

That part of Aveclyff is only available after the quest "The Fated One", the one which involves Emmy.

2. One Blackwing on bottom floor !!!
3. No Vulture in G-13 !!!


And one more thing - When I was searching whitehorn room where he must be was often empty !!!

The spawn condition is two Blackwing/Dragon type monsters on the bottom floor. They can be clearly seen by going to the edge of the first elevator, although sometimes one of them is quite close to the entry side.

Also it may pay to check when spiders are present in the first room as that spawn condition is a bit uncertain. The important two are the dragons and no vulture.

These spawn conditions do not guarantee a Whitehorn as there is at least one other rare that may be up, and only one will ever spawn at a time. Just keep checking when you have the right conditions and eventually it will be there.

Hi I realize I'm years late to this but I only just got round to playing the game a while ago. I have been looking for whitehorn for over 30 hours now I've met every set of conditions that anyone has said and recently have only been checking if there are vultures in the top room but whitehorn has never appeared so I was hoping someone might have found some new information that might help me find him because this is really starting to annoy me.

Please confirm that you have completed the quest "The Fated One" you will not be able to get to that room until u have. Also take a look at this page: http://lastremnant.wikia.com/wiki/Whitehorn. I can not remember for this rare but having the DLC could effect it...as long as you see (Blackwing or Dragon) on the bottom central floor the DLC will have no effect. good luck
