Achievement guide and road map

Overview:


- Estimated Achievement Difficulty: 8/10
- Offline Achievements: 15 (200 )

- Minimum Number of Playthroughs Needed for Completion: 100
- Number of Missable Achievements: 2(clean slate and rotating crops, both difficulties must be played)

- Does Difficulty Affect Achievements: yes


1. First bloom- 5g
Complete the first level in a game of flowerz.
This can be done on either standard or expert difficulty, and if playing on standard you cannot miss it even if you don’t match any flowerz.
2. Bouquet- 5g
Create 100 total flower matches in games of Flowerz.

To get a flower match you need to put 3 flowerz of the same colour together do it 100 times easy.
3.Rotating crops - 5g
Play a single game of standard and Expert modes.
One game on each difficulty and this will unlock you don’t need to beat the game just simply play it.
4. Plan ahead - 10g
Create a 3 level cascade of flowers.

This is where the game may be difficult for some basically some flowers have 2 colours so for example red outside blue inside if three of these are next to each other when the red disappear they turn to blue these would then disappear, creating a 2 level cascade, set the flowers up in a cross shape to create a 3 level cascade.

5. Leisure garden - 10g
Play 25 games of flowers.

This is an easy achievement and can be across both expert and standard difficulty, the quickest way to get it is to not match flowers on purpose and the game will end and count, but you do need 250,000 overall for flowerz Zen so no point unless you get that first.

6. Florist - 10g
Clear 1000 total flowers in games of flowerz

Basically the same as bouquet only this time you need 1000.

7. Window garden - 10g
Earn 100,000 total points in games of Flowerz.


Every time you create a match of flowers or cascade of flowers you are awarded points the bigger the cascade or match the more the points earn 100,000 overall, you are also awarded bonus points for empty squares at the end of the level, 5000-7000 is easy to achieve in each game so not too many and this will be yours.

8. Petal power - 10g
Match 5 flowers in a single row.

This is very easy to do and can be done in the first level.

9. Plan far ahead - 15g
Clear 12 flowers with a single flower placement.

More difficult to set up but once you understand the concept it will be easy, see the diagrams at the bottom of the guide.

10. Flowerz addict - 15g
Play 100 games of flowers.

The same as leisure garden only 100 games, if you cant stand the game anymore use the method described above but remember you need 250,000 points for flowerz Zen.

11.Butterfly luck - 15g
Use 100 total butterflies in games of flowers.


Butterflies start to appear during level 3 in standard and straight away in expert just use 100 to change the colour of a flower.

12. Flowerz Zen - 20g
Earn 250,000 total points in games of Flowerz.

The same as window garden only 250,000 points will come in time, use the tips section in the game to see how to maximize score.

13. Green thumb - 20g
Reach level 20 in a single game of Standard or Expert mode.


One of the most difficult achievements the only tip I can give are clear as many flowers as possible and use butterflies very wisely.

14. Clean slate - 25g
Clear the board of flowers in Standard and Expert modes.


Clearing the board on standard is easy just do it on the first level on expert you will need to plan very carefully and use cascades as often as possible best done on a early level.

15. Master florist - 25g
Score 9,000 points during a single Standard game.


You should get this sometime during the 17-18th level create as many cascades as possible to maximize your score, and note it says during a standard game.

You wouldn't happen to know the answer to this question when unlocking Achievements would you?

Can I connect to my wireless network at home and not be charged for the internet on the phone. I was told that I will be charged unless I take the sim card out. By taking the sim card out I will not be able to phone anyone. Will I still be able to earn achievements like this? Can you earn achievements offline on a Windows Phone 7?

is it on 02 they told me if i connect via my wifi i wont be charged for my internet use on any other network i dont know, i will phone 02 and check though because i may be getting one big bill, i havent been off it in 2 days.

i also wantto know if achievements can be earned offline as i dont like the idea of xbox live going up and then having to pay for a new phone,pay for games then pay just to play the games ive already paid for.

however what i really want to know is does anyway know what the file sizes are like.i want to stay with three network and its only a 8gb phone. and dont want to only be able to have 10 games andh ave my phone full.as it will mean deleting games just to buy new ones like i have to do with my ps3 and did with xbox 360 until the new slimline 250gb.if iphone games are anything to go by 8gb should be do-able with the biggest being like 200mb and some being only 20-30mb then 8gb should hold a lot.but if anyone has a windown phone 7 then can you tell me the file sizes of what games you have installed.
also does he file size add to the internet data so if i had 500mb internet data and downloaded a game for 500mb would that be all my internet data used up in one game?

If you go into the handsets settings.

Go to Wifi, make sure your phones wifi is on and is receiving the wifi router you intend to use. Connect to that router using any passwords SSID's etc set up on that account.

Then

Select Mobile Network.

Toggle Data Connection and 3G Connection to Off.

The phone will now be using only the Wifi source for data connection.
The phone will still work as a phone to make and receive voice calls. (not sure about sms txt's)

Just to add, All the achievement's I've earned on Uno, Flight Control, Flowerz & Sims 3 were gained and recorded to my Profile via Wifi only.

At least 1 achievement was earned on Flight Control during a train journey where I had no phone/data signal. The achievement popped up on screen, and appeared on my profile when data/phone signal became available again.

thats great about earning achievements offline. but no one is answering me about the file sizes.if anyone has any xbox games pleae list them and their file sizes. i need to know if a 8gb phone will be enough for me as thats the only phone on three and i dont want any other company unless i really have to. prefrably i want to know the file sizes of the bigger games.are they like on xbox 360 where they are like 2gb each for arcade games

The games so far on the WP7 are anything from 10-120MB thats MB not GB. I have the 8GB phone and so far it is perfectly fine. If you dont whack any music on the phone 8GB should be more than enough

do you REALLY have to go with Three though mate? Everybody knows they are awful.

I went with Orange and with the HTC Mozart, if i wasn't able to get that i would have gone with T-Mobile and their HTC Equivalent or the Samsung Omnia. Try not get stuck with them idiots, i've never heard a good thing said about em!

three do have bad signal at most times and do often charge for internt usage even when my phone was not even switched on however i usually get a good deal on the contract once i say im leaving.also the windows msn messenger works fine free of charge on three.however now these are windows phones i should ask if any of them have msn built in or if there is a free download for it.so if i got a htc on orange or vodafona or t mobile would i still have my free msn messenger and if not free does anyone know how much it costs.if msn is free on other networks i guess i could happily change networks.

I still can't get clean slate D: I can get it down to 1 flower every once in a while and then I just get more and more. I always quit at level 4 due to the complexity increasing due to more colours...

I cleared the board twice on standard on the first level and it didn't give me.

EDIT: Did it again, still no achievement.. wtf?

I'm not just clearing the board, I'm clearing it right at the end of the level, so it's empty when the level ends. But once before I did it mid-level and I've never had the achievement.. wtf?!

Not a big deal. and thanks for creating these, they rock and help alot. I love being able to get achievements on my phone while not at home. Even got rid of my iPhone

Hey nice guide this. Still having trouble with the clearing a board on expert, but cleared loads on standard. Just a matter of time i guess! Its nice to see some quality guides coming out for WP7 games. And as everyone else says, Its awesome unlocking achievements when I'm not at home!

Also, I know a lot of people may think that WP7 games are a little overpriced (£7.99 for guitar hero 5 mobile for example) but I think that if you look at them in the same way as arcade titles (which average £10 and have the same amount of gamerscore up for grabs) they are a good deal! Most WP7 games cost less than arcade games anyway and still have chivos! Sorry for the off topic-ness of the 2nd paragraph, but I just wanted to say that Its still a good deal in my opinion

I had 4 moves left in Level 19. FOUR. I made the stupidest error. This is definitely a game that punishes you for getting greedy. I tried to set up a cascade to eliminate more blocks in the long run. FAILED.

That one took me FOREVER!!!!! it sucks, I saw you got the flowerz zen, how in the world did you get that? I have well over 250,000 on standard mode and still no achievement!!! I think my game reset one time, can I ask if you ever experienced starting a game and the hints turned back on after turning them off ( if you turned the hints off)????

this game made me rage so bad the other day

i was 1 flower from level 20, it just plain refused to give me a useful flower, last 10 were of no use, even though i had 4 decent cascades set up, which would have cleared near half the board

somehow not got either window garden or flower zen though, dunno how, ive been to level19 3 times.


clean slate took me many tries to get, it all depends on how well you set up cascades, and how much your game likes you (gives you the required flowers & centres) keep trying it should come, usually within first few levels, before the extra colours turn up
