I'm currently at Singapore, top by 1 point.
Won a few events, but qualifying anywhere near the front row is impossible, I'm sure it's even harder with a normal controller... Been tactically crashing out my nearest opponents in a few races, the last race I took out 15 other cars before getting DSQ'd, so it's possible. Now got to decide whether to try crashing out everyone in five races, or trying to do the impossible and win. I won at Bahrain, Australia, and Montreal, but every other track I can't seem to get anywhere. In Budapest, I qualified sixth, but regardless of when I pit I'm back out last and fighting an impossible task of regaining my position. The pit team are so timid at letting me back out too - I'm always waiting for ages. They cost me a podium at Hockenheim... Singapore is impossible, so I'm gonna try to take out anyone near me in the table (there's 7 drivers within 25 points!), and then see how I fare in the final few tracks. Hopefully I can do well in Brazil. And not one race has been in the rain. Some qualifying sessions have had a period of rainfall (so the dry times still matter), but not a single event with it raining. The AI drive like grannies in the rain, and without needing to pit, I'd be fine to win a race... Here's hoping one of the last five will be like that. Edit: I admire those on here doing 100% distances and not quitting out - it's the kind of thing I wish I could do, it'd be properly immersive. But expert is a bit too hard for my liking, and the pit crew frustrate the hell out of me. Last edited by Hurball; 03-30-2011 at 12:23 PM. |

I have a question regards this achievement. Done 2 races so far & I'm using the glitch changing the assists at the beginning & end of each session no problem.
However I've noticed if you race a single grand prix (out of career mode) the game auto saves when your race is complete. If you used a different difficulty setting in that one off race (amateur, intermediate, professional, custom) it saves that difficulty and displays it when you jump back in to career mode. Now it's easy enough to switch it back to expert before starting the next career session but I was just a little concerned the achievo could already be cocked up because of this. Anyone else experienced this and still got the achievo okay? Or can you never complete a grand prix mode race whilst going for this achievement? Thanks!

Edit: Restarted with Red Bull as number 2 driver.
I'm pretty awful at this game and even with the assists exploit I'm really struggling to win the championship on expert. So far: Sakhir Q10, R1 Melbourne Q12, R4 Kuala Lumpur Q9, R7 (pit bug cost me some places) Shanghai Q8, R-6 (pit bug cost me a couple of places) Catalunya Q DNF, R DNF (Hamilton, Schumacher and Rosberg out) Monte Carlo Q DNF, R DNF (Webber and Button out) Istanbul Q3, R9 (pit bug knocked me back down the field) Montrιal Q1, R1 Valencia Q-, R- Silverstone Q-, R- Hockenheim Q-, R- Budapest Q-, R- Spa Q-, R- Monza Q-, R- Marina Bay Q-, R- Suzuka Q-, R- Yeongam Q-, R- Sao Paulo Q-, R- Yas Marina Q-, R- Annoyed by the non pitting AI right now, currently in third 10 points off the lead. Hoping to get the cheevo in this run through.

If I knew about this thread before my Expert season, I would have contributed, but alas, I didn't
And I've sold off my game already, so I can't do another run.I don't remember the exact results, but I know I won the title in Brazil, and I won about half the races. I remember a particularly fun race (I believe it was Monaco), where I battled up after an early spin to clinch 3rd place. It was good ![]() I was racing with Red Bull, so I was quite quick initially, which allowed me to take some of the early races, but after Spain, it got rough. Also, I did use the assist exploit, but only to change my gearing to automatic (can't stand manual with a controller). All in all, it was tough, but fun. I hope Codies include a similar achievement in F1 2011, but I want to be allowed to use Automatic next time

Trying Spain, but the qualification time in the first post is joke, right? 1:27:000, you gotta be kidding that you won with that, My time is around 1:23:000 and Im in 16th place nearly everytime.
My results: Bahrain; Q5 R1 Melbourne; Q6 R1 Malaysia; Q6 R1 China; Q12 R3 - heavy rain in race, managed to get to 1st place in fisrt turn, but in last lap, Alonso and Vettel were faster by 5 seconds than my best lap. Catalunya; Q21 R11 destroyed everyone except Alguersuari, didnt have time to finish better Monte Carlo Q21 R1 destroyed everyone and went for the easiest win ever, average speed 78 kmph Istanbul Q5 R1 Bad quali like every time, heavy rain so it was one of the easiest races Valencia Q1 R1 My favourite track, really easy Britain Q1 DNF Won wet quali, but impossible to keep with AI after pit stop, so I destroyed more than 10 drivers Germany Q1 R1 Cool track, easy win Hungary Q24 R1 Destroyed everyone, the rules are really bad on this track From this point I destroyed first 10-15 drivers every race till the end and finished 56 points ahead of Alonso Last edited by nejvetsiborec; 08-22-2011 at 12:43 PM. |

Ok, sorry, I dindnt notice the wet.
So I managed to destroy McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull and nearly everyone, only one driver was racing, I didnt managed to destroy him and he won, bad that I had only 2 minutes to finish the race, if I had more I will end second, but 6th place is great too. |

Got the achievement this afternoon (12th August 2011) with a podium in Brazil - six months in the making! Started my 4th career season in March when the new F1 season got underway in Australia. Have been following the real life calendar doing 1 career race every couple of weeks.
Now real life F1 is in to the summer break I decided to finish my season off so I can get the expert achievement & clear up my 2 remaining career seasons before F1 2011 comes out in September. Found I was often able to get pole but AI more competitive in the races or I'd make a mistake & then difficult to catch AI. I didn't record all my results but some recent highlights: Won season opener in Bahrain Can't really remember details of Australia >>> Germany!!! Hungary podium Spa epic race! Myself & Alonso both spun on last chicane after contact, Hamilton who was 3rd cheekily took the win, I recovered quicker than Alonso in race to line for 2nd (started targeting AI from this point onwards, roughly 50 point lead built up without cheating) Monza 8th after some mistakes (DNF for challengers Massa & Alonso in 1 move from start!) VERY chuffed with 2nd at Singapore behind Hamilton Japan/Korea DNF but screwed challengers (Hamilton/Massa/Alonso) out of points Brazil podium to clinch title Abu Dhabi put it in the wall first corner on purpose for achievo! ![]() Now can I be bothered to boost for level 50...

If you're having difficulty with expert with the assists you could try:
* check your set-ups - 'Race Department' has set-ups which can give you are more drivable car without sacrificing speed. * try each qualy and race several times - have several USBs and re-try races where a single mistake cost you. I listed my qualy times to show that you don't have to be that good to win on expert (with assists). My times are a fair bit slower than the OP - but I still got the achieve! Won Expert WDC after 14 races on Season 5 - 2nd McLaren driver, with Button Sakhir Q5 1:57.704 R1 (perhaps expert wasnt as hard as I thought!) Melbourne Q11 1:29.442 (pole 1:27.386) R1 Kuala Lumpur Q7 1:36.901 R1 (had to really sweat for this one - if Id known I would win the WDC early I may not have bothered) Shanghai Q3 1:36.694 (pole 1:36.075) R1 Catalunya Q2 1:28.997 (INT, pole 1:28.621) R24 (took out Alonso, Schumacher. AI are impossible here, only got Q2 because it was wet) Monte Carlo Q1 1:24.796 (WET, 2nd was 1:29.188!) R24 (took out Alonso, Button, Rosberg. Race was dry and I couldnt keep them behind me for 16 laps) Istanbul Q1 1:28.306 R1 (easy wet race) Montreal Q1 1:17.702 R1 Valencia Q1 1:47.367 (INT) R1 (quite a nice easy track) Silverstone Q2 1:32.588 (pole 1:32.266) R1 Hockenheim Q2 1:18.769 (pole 1:18.746) R1 Budapest Q1 1:25.153 (OPT but starting to rain) R23 (took out Massa, Button, Sutil. Race was dry and couldnt keep the AI behind me) Spa Q2 1:49.809 (OPT but starting to rain, pole 1:49.514) R2 (would have been 1st but spun near the end, too close to the championship to bother re-trying) Monza Q3 1:24.971 (pole 1:24.557) R1 (had Alonso in my rear-view the whole race) Table when WDC won - 5 races to go and more than 125 points ahead: StuartH 268 Alonso 140 Rosberg 126 Button 125 Webber 90 Marina Bay Q1 1:46.064 R23 (took out Alonso, Massa) Suzuka Q7 1:36.082 (pole 1:34.855) R24 (took out Alonso, Button, Rosberg, Liuzzi) Yeongam Q12 1:42.532 (pole 1:39.968) R6 (way off the pace, so tried Prime then Option for once) Sao Paulo Q1 1:10.791 R1 (hard-fought win on a favourite track) Yas Marina Q4 1:42.159 (pole 1:41.419) R1 (easiest win of the lot) Final table: StuartH 326 Alonso 187 Rosberg 162 Button 154 Sutil 142 Schumacher 136 Liuzzi 119 Massa 113 Last edited by StuartH; 09-10-2011 at 01:39 AM. i'm 12 races in and have a 50 point lead, but really struggling lately. A couple of races I took out alonso who was behind me in points. I now have 3 people who are 50 points behind me so i really need to start gathering some wins. This started off really easy but its really a struggle in mid season.
