New Facebook Community: Project Victory.
(Note to mods: I hope this does not qualitfy as Spam, this is a genuine attempt by a forum member to get more people playing HOV online. Posting in achievement trading threads, as I am sure you agree, are highly unlikely to be of any success for people who own a game like HOV, especially the PC version)
Project Victory is an attempt to create an online gaming community, however small or large, for arguably the worst First Person Shooter relased in recent years: Hour of Victory
The central motivation for Project Victory is a means by which Xbox 360 and PC gamers can boost the Gamerscore portion of the game, which counts for 345 GS.
Seeing as it is near impossible to find online games, this would be quite a novel set of achievements to earn. It is almost certain that no gamer out there today can legitimately get 1000 GS for HoV without resorting to something like Project Victory.
Games can be organised by finding gamertags of fellow HoV players through this group, or through an organised online gathering time that will be discussed and confirmed on this groups's Wall.
It is hoped that if Project Victory proves successful for some players, that those players will stay around for several more sessions to assist those who have not yet earned all achievements, as a mininum of SIX players will be required for an online ranked match.
The future direction of Project Victory, once most members have attained the 1000 GS, will depend on the gamers that remain part of the community...
It should be noted, however, that some PC gamers have noticed some problems with the latest GFWL client when playing HoV. The first goal of Project Victory will be to determine if the client is stable enough to handle online games.
Please, dust off your copy of HoV and join our group, rack up that Gamerscore you thought you'd never get, and boast to your friends that you had the perserverence to get 1000 GS for the greatest worst shooter ever.
