people are never online
Whenever I play Gears 1 online, there is never anyone online. I want to achieve the multiplayer achievements but I need people to e online but they arent there

Search Warzone. You'll be really lucky if you can find games of Assassination consistently.

Also if you aren't with a group of people boosting, you will have a lot of games quit out in the team selection screen b/c they need either 6 or 8 to boost and they already have that many

Play Warzone or Execution in ranked matches. Lots of people play with 10 rounds max and 5 round minimum. Good luck!

I do not find any games in any game type, ever. I checked at about from 12 pm to 12 am my time in every game time on every day of the week, and I repeated this process 7 times just to make sure it is not a fluke, and I did not get in even one match. It always said no matches, do you want to host?
