Final Boss Help

I know I must be missing something, How do you beat this guy?

No easy way to do it mate took me at least 10 tries. I used spidermonkey 90 percent of the time although for the achievement you should start by gettting in a quick hit with all characters first. Spider Monkey is nimble and once you know his attack patterns just dodge and jump up and git him whenever you can. When he makes a protective sheild around him switch to load star and do a B attack near the orbs taking out one or two with each hit befor Hex comes back on the attack, you should get 3 orb hits in before he comes back taking out 3-4 orbs. for his long range sweeping attack just go to one side of the screen and you should be safe, for the beam that splits out into 3 or 5 rays stay underneath him but a step to the side. Other than that mate just persevere and good luck

You can probably get this on your first go. Just follow the tips from markmacmark (I used Spidermonkey on the previous boss as well) but also, if you are low on health use Swampfire (the first alien you used) when Hex is on the ground and hold down LB. This restores health but drains the green bar.
