100% CLEAR! Free Ball Bonanza! Coordinates...oh yeah

Im a completionist so Peggle is a super challenge.. While going insane on Pnights 1M challenge (my last - still working).. I tried eliminating as many variables as I could - so I could replicate and record shots. It's a natural strategy for the 100% clear achievement "Doctor of the Peggle Arts". If you are like me..you will do anything it takes. This is a thick concept - I will try with words in the form of text. I must share.

--This will not work well on levels with moving variables (excluding Free Ball Basket [FBB]).

--While using this method use Bjorn the Unicorn (caffine addict, my kind of unicorn). The other character's specials will compromise angles making things unpredicable and uncontrolable..You could use others characters if you hope to save green pegs until a special time..I mostly use Bjorn..

There are four main bits of information to know and record...

1) Which direction are you shooting?
a. Extreme Left (L)
b. Extreme Right (R)
c. Exact Middle (M)
-Exact Middle shots happen first if they happen at all. When you start a level DO NOT TOUCH joysticks or D-pad - Or you will have to restart ...angles compromised.

2) What position does the FBB need to be in?

a. Positions
-1 - When the FBB is all the way on the left side of the screen
-2 - In between 1 and 3 (I know.. I know)
-3 - When the FBB is in the middle of the screen
-4 - In between 3 and 5 (I dont think you are stupid)
-5 - When the FBB is all the way on the right side of the screen.

b. Fractional -
-1.5 - When the left edge of the FBB meets the little off-play-screen line on the left (the little vertical line in the framing below FBB track)
-4.5 - When the right edge meets the little off-play-screen line on the right

c. Touchy
- T -Some shots are specific and will require many tries. Use the picture backrounds to mark touchy positions.

3) Which direction does the FBB need to go?

a. < - When the FBB is moving from the right side of the screen to the left of the screen

b. > - When the FBB is moving from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen

c. K (Kissing) - Can only happen in positions 1 and 5. When the FBB is not moving (its only a second of time, but makes a difference)

4) How many pegs did the shot clear?

a. After your shot is mapped, record how many pegs were busted. Not really neccesery, but good when comparing different possible paths.

--IF YOU BUST PEGS AFTER HITTING THE RIM OF THE FBB, THEN ANGLES ARE COMPROMISED...RESTART..VERY HARD TO REPLICATE..

This is a really good idea!

I understand your mentality for doing this as I'm a bit of a perfectionist too, and I (pretty much) understand everything you've detailed here :P

However, I'm still struggling away trying to 100% the original levels; I think I have about 15 left.

My tactic so far has just to be persevere at one level a day so as to not get too stressed out trying to complete it xD I started using each character in turn for a level and seeing who seemed best, but I generally never use Bjorn, simply because I thought his special was a bit pointless.

I think I might give it a go though after reading this, see how I fare if I can 'record' my best shots with him. If I'm correct I'm on a level with moving pegs at the moment however. I might try recording the positions of the moving pegs on the screen when I fire as well, assuming there's something in the background to at least mark one off against.

Dude, this technique rocks. Just got world rank 483 and 100% on the level "End of Time" by doing my own coordinates and then kicking ass.

Those are the coordinates (I didn't write the number of pegs you get down):

I just finished "no panic" (or don´t panic?) with these coordinates:

L 1< 10
L 1.5> 13
L 5< 3
L 1> 3
R 2> 9

I took the pyramid character for this level.

Now I only have Billions and Billions left.
My coordinates for this are:

M 5< 11
M 5< 4
M 5> 4
M 2< 10
L 5K 10
L 5< 8
L 1< 3

but I did not yet 100% it.
This level is still a real challenge, although using the method 50 pegs are eliminated for sure and "for free".

I tried using the unicorn so far, but maybe I will try the owl and make sure in the beginning that no green pegs are hit by the first seven shots...
...I guess I will just circle the pegs on the LCD
I mean - what is a mass product like an LCD TV compared to the "doctor of peggle arts" degree?

Tonight I did it!!! YESSS

I took the pyramid guy again, I think he is best on this level.
I still needed 50+ tries to get it, but with the coordinates, the pyramid man and a bit of luck and skill it is possible...

DEFINITELY Billions and Billions is by far the most difficult level.

edit: it helped me to leave one orange peg "upstairs" until the last shot, otherwise you can easily hit the last orange by accident.

this is for peggle nights challenges, the one that gives you only one ball to finish.
I took the rabbit and did these coordinates at first, I got 2 more free-balls while doing the coords, so i could finish it.
