Yes really. I agree that some of his recent roles are somewhat questionable, but the Riddick character will always be fucking awesome.

Im not a huge Vin Diesel.
As Daniel Tosh said "Hollywood on their moral high horse they wont make a movie about a retarded chimp unless of course you count a Vin Diesel movie." hahaha But i love the Riddick movies and i cant wait for this movie |

You are only saying that because the Oscars snubbed him for his fine work in The Pacifier

LOVE this character. Been wondering if they'd ever get backing to finish the trilogy, but with that out it will be nice to get a return of Riddick in any form, really!

Wow, surprised to hear about this, but pleasantly so. I remember reading about the whole trilogy plan, that the next two were supposed to take place in the Underworld place where the Necromongers were from, then the last movie would take them back to Furya. The Director's Cut of Chronicles was so so so much better than the regular cut. The regular cut left out stuff and made me go "Wtf" at what was seemingly some random occurrences, which the director's cut cleared up. I really love Pitch Black and I think I still like it better than Chronicles. The story was much more understated, and Riddick got to be Riddick. I'll be glad to see him going back to form.

I've only seen some of Pitch Black and none of the other but I've always wanted to so I will netflix them very soon. I have always liked Vin Diesel for some reason.

Me neither
![]() I am a fan of Riddick though and it's good that he'll be going back to being a Badass. I had to watch the 2nd film a couple of times to enjoy it and it has grown on me over the years, but the first one was instantly likeable. If the new film is as good as Pitch Black (if not better), then we are all in for a treat !

Hmm hearing all of this positive talk, I might finally have to watch it. I've had the Riddick trilogy on dvd forever, I think it's still in the plastic

Vin Diesel and Riddck have been two of my favorite things in Hollywood. I first saw Vin in "Pitch Black" and it blew me away. Naturally I was stoked about the sequel and even more pumped after playing the games and hearing back the follow-up trilogy that was in the works.
I had so many questions I was dying to have answered. Such as where would this story go with Vin the leader of the Necromongers? These new details have me saddened, but also very excited. As much as I love the world created in Chronicles, I loved the gritty-hardened asshole that Riddick was in the first film and I'd love to see him return to those roots. With a good explanation as to why the story arc from Chronicles was cut somewhere in the movie as mentioned I'm sure this will be better and hopefully the most kick ass Riddick yet. On another note, can I have my xXx 2 and F&F 5 soon please? |

Even tho the plot has so many holes you could fly a prison space ship through it, I loved the Riddick movies. Looking forward to this one.
And the video games were great fun as well.
