3rd Person Cage Match in Modern Warfare 2 Gone?

I spent most of today (April 5th) playing various Modern Warfare 2 games, including 3rd Person Cage Match. I signed off at about 7:00pm Eastern Time and when I returned at 11:00pm and tried to enter a 3rd Person Cage Match loby, it was gone. Is anyone else having this problem or did Infinity Ward just decied to stop people from completing challenges and getting headshots?

EDIT: Duh, I read it as 3rd person Team Tactical has been removed, when the OP has said that 3rd person Cage Match has been removed.

Really? Would you rather boosters boost in public matches rather then 1v1 cage matches where what they are doing does not effect you in the slightest?

Just to clarify, which 3rd person gametype has been removed, as there seems to be a differing opinion - Team Tactical or Cage Match? Thanks!

I find the whole using 3rd Person Cage matches as a way to complete head shots challenges completely annoying. You used to be able to get into matches and enjoy them the way it was meant to be. Now however it seems you can't get into a lobby without some squeaker or talentless punk begging you to do head shot kills with them.

I think this is bad news. Everyone knows that the only reason people played Cage Matches was to boost headshots. Now, with the removal of the playlist, all the boosters will just migrate to another playlist with few players, such as the new 1st person Team Tactical and ruin that instead. I wish IW had just kept the playlist so that the boosters could do whatever they wanted without interfering with proper games.

ya it looks like the path that WaW went through with all the domination and team tactical boosting cause there was no cage match

i liked the cage match gave me a chance to get the challenges on all the guns i dont use, and i only really play ffa but now i cant find a game without boosters(still haveing connection trouble since the map pack, i can only find 1 or 2 games, and if i leave coz of boosters chances are i will end up in the same game)oh well i find a new game for a while see if it gets any better

Pity. But I'd much rather have 1st Person Team Tactical. However it'd make more sense just to remove Mosh Pit. That's what Stimulus is, and if people don't have the map pack, then they shouldn't be missing out on a lot, since it shouldn't be too hard to choose a variant anyway.

Yep. I'm pretty sure only 1% used it for anything other than boosting.
