I guess I'm a lamer because my fav was Super Mario 64. I was a addict to that game str8 through until I beat it. THAT is what every console should launch with. A game that is something completly new, yet somehow enough like the Mario we know and love to be instantly reconizable. New concepts seemleesly together with old with Mario in 3d. awesome.

Deinitely GoldenEye for me. The single player was good, but man the multiplayer was the shit, especially when me and my 2 best friends would stay the night at each others houses on the weekend and play almost nonstop all weekend.
Archives + Proximity Mines = Hours of hysterical fun
Goldeneye is the dogs!!! Beats every other game on the 64 hands down IMHO. Hope Microsoft do something to get this as an arcade game <imagines the hours of fun but then returns to reality> Dammit!

Marge: Have you noticed any change in Bart Homer: New glasses? Marge: Noooo... He looks like something maybe disturbing him Homer: Probably misses his old glasses Marge: We could get more involved in Bart's activities, but then I'd be afraid of smothering him Homer: Yeah, and then we'd get the chair. Marge: That's not what I meant! Homer: It was Marge, admit it.
When I had my N64 (which wasn't very long), my favourite was GoldenEye. I really enjoyed playing the single player, but I never got to play multiplayer.
It was a redefining FPS that was done flawlessly to the system's capabilities and controller setup. It had a challenging Single player with rewards and a brilliand Multi-Player. And it was game of the year 97`.

for me it would be mario 64/mario kart, mortal kombat trilogy, banjo kazzoie and conker.
it felt so great to be the only one of my friends to be able to play conker. cuz it was like 2nd or 3rd grade, so no one elses mommy would let them play
I agree that Golden Eye was the best game, and that Perfect Dark did make it better, but not as many people gave it a chance.
My Favorite game though, was Conkers: Bad Fur Day...I played that game non-stop!! Something about a drunk squirl taking on poo-monsters, vampires, deranged teddys, and "THE ALIEN", all while making fun of famous movies was freaking awesome to me.

Ocarina of Time was great as was Super Mario 64, but my favorite has to be
Goldeneye
I played that game constantly with friends at my house. It didn't matter what systems I had the time, that was always the most popular game among all of us. Still is a great play if you go back to it.
