Achievements on PC question

Im new to Games for Windows Live and don't fully understand everything about it. Now with Dirt2 I rented it from GAmefly and really enjoyed it and got about 3/4 of the achievements and would like to buy it. Now if I buy the PC version of Dirt 2 will my achievements start over in the game and list it as Dirt2 (PC) on my xbox games or is it one of those games where you can only get achievements once in them?

The PC version is a seperate 1k. It's $19.99US this weekend on Steam too.

As far as i know the only game to share achievments is shadowrun (there may be more now but all that i have played have been seperate).
