Achievement Guide and Road Map

Recommended Posts

I decided to write a guide for this game since no one has done yet. I know it´s quite a forgotten game, but in case someone needs a hand, maybe I can help them out since I already have the 200 points for this game. I played through this game with my friend (gt: Chuchu Beleza), so many of these ideas and findings he takes all the credit for.

ROAD MAP

Overview:

-Estimated achievement difficulty: 5/10

-Offline 11 (190:gsicon:)

-Online 1 (10:gsicon:)

-Approximate amount of time to 200: 10 to 12 hours

-Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 2 (1 arcade mode and 1 story mode)

-Number of missable achievements: none

-Do cheat codes disable achievements? No cheats

-Does difficulty affect achievements? No.

-Glitchy achievements: none

-Unobtainable achievements: none

Introduction:

The Warriors: Street Brawl is a decent beat´em up game. It´s not a gem in the genre, but can get you entertained for a while. To score the full 200:gsicon: on this game is not hard, as there are only 2 achievements that can give some trouble, Alleycat and Warrior, Gladiator. I tried to explain easy ways around them in the guide, but they can still take some time.

Abbreviated Walkthrough + tips:

As stated, you only need 1 playthrough in story mode and 1 in arcade mode. I strongly recommend you to leave the achievements Alleycat and Can you Dig It? for an extra playthrough after you got the feel of the game.

Always play as vermin when going for achievements, that extra sliver of health he has does make a difference. (credits to Kingbubbaho)

While going for CAN YOU DIG IT and ALLEYCAT I suggest story mode on recruit, with solo. It's easy, and if you lose a life you can just quit and not lose your progress, restarting at the beginning of the level by choosing 'continue' at the main menu, keeping your stats from what they were at the beginning of the stage. You tecnically have unlimited retries this way.

IMPORTANT: If you are doing it on co-op, you cannot save your progress, if you die or the game freezes you will lose all your progress. (credits to Kingbubbaho)

Step #1: Arcade mode playthrough

I suggest starting with arcade mode because you have unlimited continues. Focus on just getting the hang of the gameplay, as every other achievement you can get in story mode. After that you should have Big Bopper.

Step #2: Story mode playthrough

It is exactly the same game as in arcade mode, but without continues. As you progress towards the game try to reach 50x in the combo meter to achieve Chain Gang and Facebreaker, anduse Rage mode for the first time for Meet the Rage. Also, try to go through the first mission without dying for Flawless Mission. At the end you should have earned The Best, 500 Grand and possibly Can you Dig It?. Don’t worry if you did not get these two, as I suggest going for them on

Step #3: “Alleycat” and “Can you Dig It? playthrough

In this playthrough, focus on scoring and accumulating lives. It is strongly recommended to not lose a single life until you get them both. You´ll find tips on those achievements down in the guide. As soon as you unlock Alleycat and Can you Dig It? you don´t even need to finish the whole game again.

Step #4: Online and versus achievements

This won´t take too much time. Just complete a whole mission via xbox live for Xbox LIVE Soldier and win 10 versus fights that can be done locally for War Chief.

Last Step: Boss Mode

This will probably be the achievement that gives more problem out of the 12. After beating the 5 bosses in an arena, you should earn your last achievement in the game, Warrior, Gladiator.

ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

This will probably be your first achievement In the game. Each 10x combo you get will fill a square for your rage meter. when the bar is full just press :rbbut:.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/+lG++w==.jpgChain Gang10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgPlayer must beat enemies to get 20xCombo

For these ones you´ll need a 20x and 50x combo. Your combo multiplier will rise with each successful hit landed in any opponent. If you get hit in between, or spend too much time without hitting a enemy, it will drop down to zero and you´ll have to start over. There are two easy methods for that:

1 – in the first boss of the game, you can knock him down and kick him to your heart´s content with the :ybut: button until the multiplier reaches 50x. it´s easier said than done, because you have to press the directional in his direction, otherwise he will stand up and beat you or you will stomp at him which will him give a recovery time-frame. If you´re doing this right, you character should be circling around the boss while kicking.

The good thing about this method is that you can practice it in boss mode without wasting any time playing through the missions until you reach him, so practice a lot.

2 – do it normally throughout the game. The last hit of every combo is always a knock down, so avoid using it because every time an enemy is on the ground he will possibly get up with some kung-fu style move that will hit you and ruin your combo. Give a larger time between each button press (punch or kick doesn´t matter) so that your character only uses the first hits of a combo. That way will also do less damage to them, which is good so you can raise your multiplayer more within each enemy. Any time you see and enemy down on the ground, get away or block. It´s not too difficult and I managed more than 50x a lot of times in a playthrough using this method.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/-dJctw==.jpgFlawless Mission10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgPlayer must clear a rival gangs turf, start to finish, without losing a life

You´ll need to complete every three stages of any mission without dying. The first stage is the easiest. You can do this in local co-op but you can´t via live because it will boot you back to the lobby after each stage

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/s2.jpg500 Grand10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgPlayer must amass 500,000 points

see Can you Dig It?

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/--NVAg==.jpgCan you Dig it?20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgPlayer must rack up 2,500,000 points

For those achievements you´ll need 500.000 and 2.500.000 in a single run of the game. If you´re playing co-op there´s a good possibility that none of the players will reach 2.5kk, so let just one of the players rack up some points while the other stays on defense. Play through story mode and set the difficulty to easy.

Also for Can you dig it I recommend letting enemies spawn during the 'reinforcements are coming' parts, for maximum points. I don't know if its possible to fail the score with a complete playthrough, but I did it just to be safe. (Credits to Kingbubbaho).

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/-TS5nw==.jpgAlleycat20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgAccumulate 9 backup lives for your Warrior

This is a hard one if you´re doing this by yourself. You´ll have to have 9 lives showing under your character´s name in a given time. An extra life is earned with 250.000 points, then with 500.000 and from them on every other 500.000 points you accumulate.

If you have a local co-op partner your life will be made WAY easier. Just tell him to stay blocking while you aim for taking down each enemy at a time. Very important, do not let them swarm you or you´ll end up losing a life. Whenever your health becomes too low stop fighting, block (no enemy can break your defense, just bosses) and let your friend do the beating until you find a health recovery item.

There are some extra lives scattered throughout the game, these are the ones I know of:

  • in the stage where you encounter the first boss, after you defeat him you´ll enter a train. Keep walking to the right every time you beat the enemies because at the very end there will be an extra life waiting for you. There are a few seconds for you to grab it before the stage ends, so be quick
  • in mission 7 stage 1, right at the start there´ll be a parked train at the top left corner of the screen. Enter it and walk left.
  • For Alleycat, I found another 1up on the lizzies 2nd stage. Go up the alley instead of through the bar, keep going past the schoolbus and to the end of the level behind the small vehicle at the end. You have to be quick before the stage ends. (Credits to Kingbubbaho).

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/-hOtkQ==.jpgThe Best.20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg"You Warriors are good. Real good." Player must complete Story Mode

The game has 7 mission with three stages each, so in total 21 stages. It will take you around 3 hours in the easiest difficult setting. You can do it in local co-op and both players will earn the achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/-Ktd6w==.jpgBig Bopper30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgPlayer persevere against the odds in Arcade Mode

The arcade mode is exactly the same game it is in story mode. The only difference is that you cannot choose difficulty, and you can “insert a coin” if you lose all your lifes, choose any character and continue right where you were. If you´re going for the 2.5kk points achievement beware that each time you choose continue your score will be reset so be advised. Playing local co-op will earn both players the achievement, as soon as you finish all levels.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/s1.jpgXbox LIVE Soldier10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgPlayer must complete any Mission over Xbox LIVE

Each mission is made of 3 stages. For the achievement you´ll need to complete every three of any mission. The first one is the smaller so better go for that one. Each completed stage will bring you back to the lobby, don´t worry it´s normal. Just choose the next stage and launch the game again.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/-DKkJA==.jpgWar Chief10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgPlayer must win 10 games in VS Mode

You can boost this by yourself. Plug in a second controller and beat him 10 times. Choose Vermin for you because he does more damage and each fight will not take longer than 1 minute.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1041/s3.jpgWarrior, Gladiator30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpgPlayer must defeat the worst of the worst in the arena of Boss Mode

This one is annoying. very annoying. You have to defeat all 5 bosses of the game in a row, with one life. You have to go solo otherwise it won´t unlock. Each defeated boss will leave an item to full recover your health. Try to leave them on the ground and use it only when you have just the last drop of your blood.

The first four bosses all have a simple pattern to follow that won´t work a 100% of the time, but when mastered will always get you to the final boss with two or three health itens still in the ground: always stay at a distance and let them approach you. When they comes to a kicking distance, do the:ybut::ybut::ybut::ybut::ybut: combo and run away again. It takes time, but it is the best method I could come up with.

The last boss is a real pain. Sometimes he will enter a shooting spree that will always break your combo. Avoid the bullets and just try to hit him when he tries to punch or kick you. Good luck, you´ll need it.

This is a great guide! Kudos to you sir for writing it! You certainly helped me with a couple of achievements!

I have a couple of tips to add:

-Always play as vermin when going for achievements, that extra sliver of health he has does make a difference.

-While going for CAN YOU DIG IT and ALLEYCAT I suggest story mode on recruit, with solo.

-For Alleycat, I found another 1up on the lizzies 2nd stage. Go up the alley instead of through the bar, keep going past the schoolbus and to the end of the level behind the small vehicle at the end. You have to be quick before the stage ends.

-Also for Can you dig it I recommend letting enemies spawn during the 'reinforcements are coming' parts, for maximum points. I don't know if its possible to fail the score with a complete playthrough, but I did it just to be safe.

-Arcade mode's BIG BOPPER achievement is the only one I haven't got. Because of the intense difficulty this is one long task with a second controller a must. I tried it, going slowly but surely for over an hour before the game froze on me. It's frozen before in story mode, but on arcade mode there are no continues. I would have to start all over again, and theres no guarantee it wouldn't happen again, this time on level 7-2 instead of 2-3.

I'm just saying this as a warning to everybody, if you go for the big bopper, expect failure to come suddenly and unexpectedly, with you having done nothing wrong. I'm writing this achievement off as 'glitched' for the sake of my own sanity.

Happy to help :)

I may try that final achievement again with your cache clearing tips, but not for a long time...

P.S: I don't know how you'd go about it, but you should definately get your guide on to the main site under the achievement guide section. It certainly deserves a spot in the lights!

I know this board is dead but I just wanted to add a tip that helped me defeat Luther on Boss Mode. I noticed if u pick a level with a large area where you can run around like Heavy Hitters or The Big C.I., you'll be able to easily run circles around Luther while he shoots and tries to punch and kick. Doing this allow you to take minimum damage til Luther opens up.

The Trick is once Luther tries to kick you he's usually left vulnerable and open. That is your time to attack him with the Kick combo and do maximum damage.

If Luther breaks your combo with gun fire just immediately back off and begin to run circles around him til he tries to kick you again. You never wanna go toe to toe with Luther cause he will only begin shooting and really do some major damage to you that way.

Also Remember Patience is the key here, just continue to run around him as I recommended and he will attempt to kick u and leave his self open. As long as u can capitalize effectively most times this battle should be pretty easy. Just don't panic and try to have at least one health item left over from the previous defeated bosses. Doing this method I was able to defeat Luther with full heath pretty easy, it just took practice. Hope this tips helps all future players. Laterz.
