I'm 99.9% sure that the game isn't glitched and that you have to unlock the hats a different way. We don't even know if they are the same hats anyway.

(Or do we? I just went to a friends house and played it.)

I spoke with representatives from The Behemoth when I was at Comicon. The achievement is now available for unlocking, thanks to the most recent patch.

Are the two hats that were glitched available the same way as the guide describes to get them?

15 and 26 aren't unlocking for me even though the unlock symbol did appear...

So its been awhile and I turned this game on. To my surprise there was an update! So I thought right away "Ha! the hat glitched is fixed!" So I went straight to the level with the snow mobile and dug underneath it and low and behold...

nothing happened.

Although I didnt let myself die and if thats what you have to do then I messed up. Because I think it would be very dumb if they did not fix this issue when its probably the biggest one with the game at this point.

Wanted to let people know if they are still following this thread and achievement.

Nothing's glitched with the hats. If at first you don't succeed, try try again.

How do you get #12 Tiara this is the last hat I need and I have beat level 2-2 on hard now twice in a row and it is still not unlocking. I am not even getting the sound or the animation. Am I playing the correct level? I don't know why it won't unlock unless I have to turn gore on/off or something.

Edit: Another weird tidbit is that the colonial brown #27 and ears #28 didn't unlock until I beat level 2-2 on hard. They didn't unlock the first time I went through the game.

FYI I figured it out I had to turn gore off. I also went back to the arcade and reloaded AH so who knows forsure, I guess.

I've destroyed the building that gives you hat 24 in level 1-4 but it's still locked.
All I did was exit the game without doing the level by full, now I can't get it to happen again.

just a quick question regarding the hats the ones which need to be done on hard can you go through on player 2 then jump in towards the end with the one you want the hat achievement for. a little like beating the game on harder levels.

For the Jester hat in 1-4 , you have to destroy the building while not being in the tank.

I think you mean the Rooster Hat, NOT the Jester Cap.

In order to unlock the shark fin hat, I had to let myself suffocate. I did it right where my guy started the level.

For those who care, I found a better Hats list that shows them in the order they appear in the player options, not in alphabetical order.

You'll have to copy and paste, and take out the spaces in "achive 360 points", x360a censored it out.

Yes, the way you describe it will work. It took me about ten minutes to finish all three hard levels, so waiting eight months is a bit silly ;-)

It's the same method for beating the final boss (of whole game) on hard, as described in the Achievement Guide.

For those that have issues with still getting the "hat unlocked message" but not getting the hat, make sure you do not just exit to the main menu. Instead play out your lives, or get killed and don't continue. when it brings up the game over message and kicks you back to the menu, you should see the hat available.

I remember when this game first came out reading that a couple a hats were glitched so I never tried to get the achievement, but I went on this today to get the hats and had no trouble with them. 200/200 now =]

k im pissed.
been beating the last level on hard for like 20 minutes now.
on hard.
without dying once now because ive got it down so well.
cept for one or two times he sliced me with that knife of his...

so whats the deal, i beat him and jump off the spaceship, having to wait about 10 seconds before the screen finally fades, and it hasnt unlocked the hat yet...
what gives?
is my timing off?
i jump off as soon as he dies while its in slow- mo.
tried waiting 5 seconds and then jumping...

what exact time do i have to jump?
