Assassin's Creed is fresh Ubisoft IP, the movie's being made in-house and it's only going to be eight minutes long. Mary Beth Hensen, spokeswoman for Ubisoft:
"We may consider doing longer-form films or television sometime in the future. We're basically putting to work the existing creativity of our game developers as well as adding a more traditional cinematic slant to our roster."
yeah, i saw this on AOTS. on AOTS they said that it may become a full length movie. i hope it does as the game looks awesome, i think ubisoft is retarted to pushing it back due to GRAW2. assassins creed will sell way more copies then GRAW 2 easily

That's probably why they pushed it back ... to give Graw 2 a chance? Makes good business sense.

Thats exactly why they pushed it back. They don't want too many successful titles in one tax year. They want to spread it over the two. I rememeber reading this a while back somewhere.
