So do kills from killstreaks count towards other kill killstreaks?
Ive heard the random drops dont but do like the call in choppers/airstrikes count towards your other killstreaks??

so the 5 kill sentry gun doesnt? Ive gotten choppers before but they dont seem to add to my kill streak. Ive got it set at Sentry Gun (5), Chopper (7), AC130(11) and none of the kills i get with the 5 or 7 help me get the 11.

Some do, some dont.. i dunno why?! IMO they should ALL count.
Turrets - dont Pavelows - dont Care packages - dont Emergency airdrops - dont Attack helicopters - not sure Predator missiles - do Harrier strikes - do Precision air strikes - do Stealth bombers - do Chopper gunners - do AC-130's - do |

Attack helicopters do. Pavelows should, but are bugged and don't always (ever?). Supposed to be only things from crates (sentry included) that don't count.

Well, son of a bitch. I wondered why my Sentry gun wasn't letting me get an award when I died but it was still racking up kills. It doesn't really seem fair that the Sentry Gun would not count, but I guess if it's because its crate-able I can understand. It would make it very difficult probably to code it so the game knows the difference between an earned one or a care packaged one.

I though Pavelows counted because I was on Rust yesterday and someone called in his Pavelow (Which got 16 kills) and then called in a Nuke.

The pavelows are buggy. I've heard a lot of people say they extended their streak. I've also had it happen both ways for me.
As for your sentry gun racking up kills after you died... once you've died, your killstreak ends. If you get to 7 kills and call your Harrier which gets 4 kills, you can use the AC-130. However, if you get to 7 kills, call your harrier, die, harrier gets 4 kills, you don't get your AC-130. Or if it gets 7 kills after you've died and respawned, you don't get another Harrier. Even if you get 7 kills get the harrier, don't call it in, then die, respawn, and call it back in, unlike in Call of Duty 4, your Harriers kills don't count toward a separate killstreak. You can't use a Harrier to unlock another Harrier or any other killstreak, unless you've not died. You can however, just for example, get 7 kills, die. Get 7 kills, die. Get 7 kills, die. Get 7 kills, and call 4 harriers all at the same time. But I wouldn't suggest it, as they'll fly so close together that pretty much blowing up one will blow them all up. |

Pavelow is bugged, it does 50/50.
I have games where I get it and it counts, others it doesn't. Very annoying to hit 7, Harrier.. Hit 9, Pavelow, and then the pavelow never credit you the 11 for your AC-130 (I like my AC-130...)

I was wondering about this. Thanks for the info.
I think this also affects the killstreak record in the leaderboards. I know I've gotten 30 killstreaks before that only show up as a 20, etc. |

The key to avoiding the Pave Low glitch is to get 10 kills before calling it in, rather than only the 9 necessary to earn it. I've been doing this and haven't had it glitch on me ever since I heard about this 'fix.'

Pavelow is quite buggy when counting to killstreaks as i just got one from a Carepackage and it actually counted towards my chopper gunner

Yeah, I don't know if it's the Pave Low that is glitching in that case or the care package itself, as my friends did the infinite care package glitch a bunch of times, and I got a Predator, Attack Chopper, and then 2 Chopper Gunners, got a 33 kill streak just sitting in our spawn on Derail, and called in my Nuke.
