No-Hitter... Can't Get This Thing...

I've been trying this whole game but i can never seem to get 10 guards down without being hit. I'll get like 8 down but then i won't be in combat anymore...

Any stories/tips & tricks of where/when you got this chieve?
Any help would be appreciated, i only need the last story achievements and this to finish the game.

Smoke bombs are your friend. Just run through some areas with loads of guards (near the Doge's Palace in Venice, for instance) throw a smoke bomb and start stabbing dudes. If the smoke wears off and you haven't got your 10, throw another and keep stabbing dudes.

Personally, I did it during the mission where you kill the guards disguised as monks. I assassinated the target before he escaped, let a ton of guards surround me, tossed a smoke bomb, stabbed dudes....achievement popped.

Honest to Bob, I thought this was going to be way difficult, but it really isn't. Just keep trying.

Yeah do it on the monk guards dude. When I did it, they didn't even try to attack me so it was easy as pie.

If you miss the opportunity with the monks; just go to the Palace in Venice. There are plenty of guards, usually in groups of 4. With a high notoriety; get them to chase you until you have 10+ guards chasing you. Be sure you have 3+ smoke bombs and lure them into a small area; hallway or other tight squeeze. Drop your first smoke bomb as soon as the group surrounds you, then start assassinating with the hidden blades. Try to get guards in groups of two. As soon as the smoke starts to clear; drop another smoke bomb and take out the remaining guards. Use last smoke bomb if necessary. Keep them coughing and don't give them the opportunity to run away.

I just ran around Venice with high notoriety and waited until I had more than 10 guards chasing me. Dropped smoke bombs and went to work. Had to use all three to keep the guards from attacking but it didn't take me too long.

well, unfortunately I already completed the Monk level, so i may have to resort to Venice Guards... sounds real hard but i'll give it a shot.

anyone recall what the name of the monk level is? almost done with the story so i can go back to it and try to kill em all, i found a vid on youtube, they seem so harmless! LOL

if anyone knows the name of this mission please lmk!

It's really not that bad at all when you know what to do. Just make sure you have 3 smoke bombs and go to the front of the palace. And kill one of the 4 armor guards that stand in front. You will now have about 10-11 people on you. Throw a smoke bomb and immediately switch to the hidden blades and take out 3-4 guards. When you see the arrows reappear over the guards heads, throw another smoke bomb and repeat the process until you kill everyone. Should pop up at the end of the 3rd smoke bomb.

If u miss the monk guards which sounds easy (I didn't try for this cheevo til much later) get ur 3 smoke bombs, make sure you get training or ability to do double hidden blades, and get more than 10 guards to chase such as the restricted area in Venice or the military section.

If you have the Auditore Cape donned (which u get after dropping off the 100 feathers in yo momma's room). This cape will instantly draw any guards within sight after you. Run to an area with few or no civilians.

Stop & wait til the more than 10 guards surround you. Pop smoke. Try to stand between some guards so u get 2 at a time on some. U should easily get 4-5 within the first smoke bomb. Repeat smoke as soon as their yellow/red arrows above shows. You should easily finish the achievement within second smoke bomb; if not u have a third.

Reason I say get more than 10 guards is some dissappear and some will run away. I got 14 guards once after I got the achievement. Also make sure u don't accidentally use poison blade cuz in the smokey chaos you r likely to get hit by a flailing crazed guard.

But yeah if having troubling attracting enough guards use the Auditore Cape & just run around til a hornets nest of guards is chasing you. I try to get at least 12 to follow if not more. After getting the achievement it was just fun to run around doing that over & over lol!

Here I was using the smoke bombs only for escape purpose, if at all. Going to have to start tossin um like candy at a parade now...

Yeah, this is how I got it. Smoke bombs can help I suppose but personally I didn't need them. Just keep your guard up with RT. If you do get hit just keep backing up/dodging etc till you run into more guards to get back up to 10 guards killed.

It's worth mentioning that you don't have to be fighting 10 guards at the same time for this to unlock, just don't leave combat.

mine didnt unlock when using smoke bombs , but i found it easy to just disarm the guard, kill him with the weapon, then press down on the d-pad, do this to the rest of the gaurds and its easy

It was pretty easy for me. I just followed the achievement guide in this forum. Just round up a whole lot of guards, enter combat by locking on, and throw a smoke bomb when they're all around you. Then take out your hidden blade and stab them 2 at a time. When the smoke wears off, throw another bomb. You have to be quick or they might have a chance to hit you.
