![]() Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: California Posts: 93 | Achievement Guide and Road Map This guide was created for the sole purpose of Xbox360achievements.org. Please ask my permission before using it. Thanks ![]() Overview + Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10 + Approximate time: 5-7 hours for 1,000 + Offline: 31 (1000 + Online: 0 + Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 2 + Number of missable achievements: 3 - Gunman, Crispy Critters, Nuck Chorris Rex + Glitched achievements: 0 + Cheats: No Cheats Hey guys, this is my first achievement guide so please bare with me. I was able to get this early from my local mom & pop store, so I decided to made a guide for it. Introduction Jurassic - The Hunted is a FPS budget title that is centered around escaping an island full of dinosaurs (Sound familar? :P). It's actually a decent game and a very easy title to get 1000 in. Most of the achievements are pretty straightforward, but I figured I'd make a guide for people anyways. Playthrough 1 During this playthrough you'll be playing on Normal (there's no easy mode) and you'll be knocking out most of the achievements. The main thing to keep in mind during this playthrough is trying not to die. If you think you might die, restart the last checkpoint. Don't sweat it too much if you do die though, because the game keeps track of what levels you have died on and you can use level select to beat them again to get the achievement. Playthrough 2 During this playthrough you'll be playing on Hard mode. I haven't finished this difficulty yet, but it doesn't seem much harder, plus you get an awesome plasma rifle on the first level that kills most enemies with one hit and has regenerating ammo. This gun alone makes Hard mode a breeze. If you're missing any other achievements (like the secret death ones for instance), you can get those during this playthrough as well. Conclusion This game is a very easy 1000 and a pretty fun game if you enjoy killing dinosaurs. Happy gaming! Achievements Welcome to the Jungle 30![]() Kill 50 Deinonychus. Deinonychus are the larger Raptors you fight throughout most of the game, you will easily get this and Raptor Extinction before the end. Raptor Extinction 50![]() Kill 100 Deinonychus See 'Welcome to the Jungle' Woah 25![]() Killed 1 dinosaur during an Adrenaline Burst. You can start using Adrenaline Burst at the beginning of the game right after you get a gun. To use it, hold down LB and kill an enemy while it's activated. Not so Fast 50![]() Killed 3 Raptors during a single Adrenaline Burst. Not too difficult. It's easiest to do this while fighting the little raptor or while you have a 30 second Adrenaline power-up. Assault rifle recommended. Adrenaline Junkie 50![]() Killed 25 dinosaurs during Adrenaline Bursts. If you use Adrenaline a lot, you'll easy get this after the first few levels. Aim for the head as it's almost always an instant kill. These are not the Hammer 50![]() Killed 20 dinosaurs using melee attacks. Click the right stick to melee. This is easiest to do on the little raptors as melee is a one-hit kill on them. Gunman 25![]() Kill a dinosaur using each weapon. I have listed the weapons in the order you receive them and their level. .45 Pistol - Code: Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot (Level 1) 30-06 Assault Rifle - Code: Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot (Level 1) Model 1855 Rifle - Far from Shore, Far from Home (Level 2) 9mm Automatic - Sinking Feeling (Level 3) Grenades - Sinking Feeling (Level 3) Shotgun - Sinking Feeling (Level 3) 5.56 Assault Rifle - Vortex Zero (Level 4) .44 Magnum - Vortex Zero (Level 4) Black Powder Rifle - Out of the Frying Pan (Level 5) Crossbow - The Lost Castaways (Level 6) Light Machine Gun - Rise Above (Level 7) RPG - Special Delivery (Level 10) ESD-P206 (Auto-shotgun) - The Final Piece (Level 13) -Thanks to CLINT0NP0RTIS26 for pointing out the location of the final weapon (the Auto-shotgun). Firepower 30 Killed 50 dinosaurs using stationary weapons. There are 4 or 5 stationary gun 'sequences' throughout the game and you will get this pretty quickly as there are tons of enemies. Dinomite! 25 Killed 50 Raptors with a single shot each. You will get this without thinking about it. The quickest way to do these is using a shotgun on raptors up close and headshotting dinosaurs while in Adrenaline Burst. Continued in next post... Last edited by garboy; 11-05-2009 at 03:19 AM. |

![]() Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: California Posts: 93 | Six Foot Turkey 25 Killed a Utahraptor. Story related. You will have to fight one of these very early on. What a Prick 50 Survived a Spinosaurus attack. Story related. You have to fight one of these towards the end of the game. I'm the King 40 Killed a Tyrannosaurus. Story related. You have to fight two of these about halfway through the game while using a mounted machine gun. You can also get kills towards 'Firepower' during this sequence by killing the many Pterosaurs attacking you. Outta Nails 25 Completed any fortification objective without repairing. I got this during the second 'fortification' sequence since the enemies are easier to keep track of. Simply finish the sequence without repairing the 'holes' and the achievement is yours. Handyman 25 Completed any fortification objective without the dinosaurs getting in. I got this during the first 'fortification' sequence. Just run to each barricade, kill the enemy attacking it, and repair it by pressing down on the D-pad. I went around counter-clockwise, making sure to fully repair the barricades right after killing the dinosaurs. Preparing for the Future 25 Repaired all broken entrances before unlocking the gate. Very easy achievement. I got this during the very first 'fortification' sequence. All you have to do is fully repair each barricade before opening the main gate after the dinosaurs stop attacking. Pack Hunting 25 Killed 3 Raptors with one grenade. You will get grenades shortly after killing your first Utahraptor (Six Foot Turkey Achievement). After grabbing the grenades, turn around and throw one at the 3 raptors slowly walking towards you. Achievement Unlocked! Who Needs a Bug Zapper? 25 Killed 50 Pterosaurs in Rise Above. This level is about halfway through the game. (You can see the level name at the top of each loading screen.) There are tons of Pterosaurs (the flying dinosaurs) throughout this level. Tip: If you hang around the beginning of the level, you can get around 30 kills as they fly across the ravine. Death from Below 25 Killed 1 Pterosaur with a grenade. Easiest to do on the level 'Rise Above' as there are tons of Pterosaurs. I got it towards the beginning of the level by chucking a grenade at the group the flies across the ravine. Blast in the Past 25 Killed 20 Dinosaurs with grenades. You get grenades very early on and they're actually very strong. Use them on large groups of small raptors and you'll get it in no time. Plumber Stomachache 25 Destroyed 50 exploding mushrooms. Exploding mushrooms are the weird looking 'anenome' looking things on the ground and walls of the caves in the later areas. Simply shoot 50 of these (causing them to explode) to get the achievement. Try to shoot every single one you see as there are only around 60 throughout the whole game. 1-Up 25 Killed 1 enemy using an exploding mushroom. I had trouble with this at first. The best place I've found to get it is during the cave mounted gun sequence. While on the gun if you look to the left, there's a cave where scorpions spawn with three mushrooms surrounding it. If you time it right, you can shoot one of them to cause a chain-reaction and kill a scorpion as it's coming out of the hole. Crispy Critters 25 Kill 5 Scorpions with the RPG. There are two ways to get an RPG: 1.) On the Special Delivery level (level 10), right after the stampede of dinosaurs runs by, take a right and follow a path leading to the RPG. 2.) On the Final Piece level (level 13), after the fortification sequence, follow a path to the left leading up a hill. You'll see a dead Triceratops with an RPG next to it. Now that you have the RPG, simply kill 5 scorpions and the achievement is yours! Scorpion King 30 Killed 50 Scorpions. You'll easily get this during the course of the game as you find tons of scorpions. Chicken Chaser 20 Killed 50 Velociraptors. You'll get this about halfway through the game as you find many of these. Nuck Chorris Rex 100 Completed the game without dying. While playing through, try not to die. As you get attacked, your screen gets blurrier and blurrier as you get closer to death. If you think you might die, hit start and reload the last checkpoint. Any levels you died on will show a skull icon on them in the level select screen, so you can just replay them for them achievement. Life Will Find a Way 50 Completed the game. Story related. You will receive this during the cutscene after killing off 'Spike' when he's attacking the giant barricade. Hard as Nails 100 Complete the game on the Hard difficulty. Hard is unlocked after completing the game once. It's not much harder than Normal and the Plasma Rifle you get makes it even easier. The only difference between this and Normal is the amount of damage you can take before dying. The dinosaurs have the same amount of health. Note: You cannot just finish the last level on Hard for this achievement. Secret Achievements Die in a Fire 0 Killed by fire or lava. Level 5 (Out of the Frying Pan) has lava everywhere. Take a swim and this achievement is yours. Allergic Reaction 0 Killed by thorny plants. During the beginning of level 5 (Out of the Frying Pan), you'll see green and red plants everywhere. If you stand very close to one it will slowly kill you. Let it. Achievement unlocked. Clever Girl 0 Died in a Raptor Melee QTE. When a raptor jumps on you, an on-screen prompt will tell you to mash a button to get it off. Simply let the raptor kill you to get this. Mari-Ouch 0 Killed yourself with an exploding mushroom. Staring on level 9 (U-1226), you will start seeing weird glowing 'anenome' looking things that explode when you shoot them. Simply stand next to one and shoot it to kill yourself and get the achievement. Last edited by garboy; 11-04-2009 at 09:20 AM. |

![]() Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: California Posts: 93 | It's a pretty fun game if you don't expect too much out of it. The game is very short (about 4 hours) and I don't recommend buying it. I got this early from a store in my area that broke the street date. |

![]() Join Date: Feb 2009 Posts: 6 | Well, I've killed a dinosaur with each of the weapons, including the unlisted 13th weapon, and I still haven't unlocked the Achievement. I even went back and killed dinosaurs with each weapon a second time, and made sure they were dinosaurs, and not scorpions. I've got 975/1000. This is the only Achievement that's giving me trouble. Anyone here unlock it yet? EDIT: Nevermind. I killed a Deinonychus with the RPG and the Achievement unlocked. Perhaps you need to kill a Deinonychus with each weapon, rather than dinosaurs in general, because I specifically remember blasting a group of Velociraptors into oblivion with the RPG, and I believe I killed a Utahraptor with it as well. ![]() | Nice Guide! I started playing this last night, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I didn't realize there was a guide out for it already. The game is pretty intense and much better than I expected. |

![]() | Nevermind. I replayed the first mission on Hard, and once I completed it, the achievement unlocked. If any of you run into this issue, just try that and you should be fine. |

First spotting is right after you examine the pilot and head up the hill. __________________ COMPLETED GOAL... 100k by my birthday 6/28/10 COMPLETED GOAL... ![]() Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Ontario Posts: 64 | This game is a JOKE. Seriously, whoever can't get 1000 in this game, stop playing for achievements... This game is a serious joke. I've plugged in only 5 hours and already have 900...doing my hard mode run right now. I'm not sure what's more sad, this game or me bringing myself so low as to play through it for the achievements. Honestly if you're severely bored and don't want to get frustrated while playing for achievements, FIND THIS GAME. I borrowed it for free from a friend. I find it hilarious how the guy with 223,000 gamer score considers this game difficult... I mean seriously, it just goes to show you that high gamer score does not equate to level of skill... Go back and play The Misadventures of Jimmy Winkleton on Gumdrop Island....****in scrub. |

![]() Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: London Posts: 1,277 | For Nuck Chorris Rex, rather than simply say "try not to die" it might be helpful if you mention that when you start your Hard playthrough it will over-write all your Normal progress, so you won't be able to select any levels on Normal and replay. Therefore, if you beat normal and were pretty close to getting Nuck Chorris Rex, I suggest you replay those levels you missed now before starting Hard. __________________ |
