Achievement Guide
Axel & Pixel Achievement Guide Good Start! - 5![]() Complete first chapter. Just like the achievement says, complete the very first chapter and these 5 points will be yours. Spring - 10![]() Complete spring season. See "Winter" Summer - 10![]() Complete summer season. See "Winter" Autumn -10![]() Complete autumn season. See "Winter" Winter - 10![]() Complete winter season and defeat the Ice Giant. These achievements will pop up frequently throughout the game as you make progress. Every season consists of 7 chapters, except for the Winter season, which only has 5 maps (including the outro). If you need help in any of the chapters, see the walkthrough made by entrax. Master Painter - 30![]() Complete the masterpiece. This achievement requires you to collect all 8 paintings in the game. Loactions can be found in this guide. To collect a painting, simply look when your crosshair changes into a yellow pencil. After you've pressed , Axel will draw a picture. If you missed out some of them, just replay the levels and once you've attained all 8, simply replay the outro. Dog's Dinner - 10![]() Find all bones. There are 20 bones hidden throughout the game. They aren't hidden too well so this shouldn't be a problem. Especially if you make use of the complete walkthrough which can be found HERE. Note that the bones found in the story-mode minigames also count towards this. Just like the paintings, you can collect earlier missed out bones by replaying levels. Once you've found your 20th bone, the achievement will pop up. Great Aviator - 15![]() Score over 10000 points in the balloon minigame. See "Great Sailor" Great Driver - 15![]() Score over 10000 points in the car minigame. See "Great Sailor" Great Sailor - 15![]() Score over 10000 points in the boat minigame. All 3 minigames are exactly the same as the ones you'll play in story mode except that there is no end and you'll get a lot faster. So once you've gained 10.000 points, kill yourself. Which also means that you musn't risk anything by racy maneuvers, just play safely and watch your health. Note that all points from all 3 maps count towards "Great Driver". My scores were 4000, 4500 and 2500. Little Helper - 20![]() Complete the story under 20 clues. Simple. Just don't ever press and hold . If you're stuck, try to click around a bit or see the walkthrough made by entrax HERE. I didn't even use one clue in my playthrough. Points in Paint - 50![]() Complete the story with the score over 42000 points. After I've completed all chapters and collected all paintings, tubes and bones, my score was 42,910. Note that if you missed out any item, you can go back and collect them. Once you've done that, replay the outro. The achievement should pop up right after Axel completed his masterpiece. One general advice: Once you've entered a new chapter, push to see which items you can gain in this level (a golden star will be right next to the certain item, indicating that it isn't found yet. Once you've found all objects in the chapter, the star will disappear).Road Map Overview:- Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10 - Offline: 12 (200 )- Online: 0 - Approximate amount of time to 200 : 2-3 hours- Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 - Number of missable achievements: None - Glitched achievements: None - Do cheat codes disable achievements?: No cheats Introduction: Welcome to Axel & Pixel, a funny mix of puzzle game and point&click adventure. This game is part of the recent wave of adventure games on Xbox LIVE Arcade. Even though you'll complete it very fast, it's still a fun game to play. Step #1: Playthrough Simply start a new game in story mode. After the very first chapter, Good Start! will pop up. Continue to play until you've beaten the first minigame. Right after that, "Spring" will unlock. Simply continue to play through the game and eventually, "Summer", "Autumn" and "Winter" will pop up. Remember to push at the beginning of every chapter to see which items you need to collect. If you didn't forget any, Master Painter, Dog's Dinner and Points in Paint will unlock after Axel has completed to paint his masterpiece. Also try not to use any or too much clues, as you're not allowed to use up more than 20 in order to gain Little Helper. That's it for the story mode! Note that if you're stuck at any point, feel free to use the complete walkthrough made by entrax, which can be found HERE.Step #2: Minigames Now there are only 3 achievements left to unlock. Those are attained in minigame mode. You will remember those clearly as they're nearly exactly the same as found in the main game except for the fact that they're a little harder. You will now have to collect stars or diamonds in order to gain points. See Great Sailor in the guide for further help. Conclusion: Axel & Pixel is definitely a candidate for "Easiest 200 games ever" since it neither requires any effort nor time to gain the full 200. However, it's a fun game to play and it isn't as boring to get 200 GS as it is in other games.

Currently playing through this now. In order to assure the Points in Paint achievement I have been learning the chapter and restarting the level when the red arrow appears so I can maximize the points earned by a fast time.
So far I haven't noticed any penalty for doing this and bones/paint/drawings remain collected on the restart saving you a little time as well. |

Any hint for chapter 11, the one with the big turtle?
I'm on the turtle itself, I can make it show its head, and there are things on the wall that I can turn yellow or grey. u

Not having a go mate, just pointing out,I think that calling this one of the easiest ever is a little bit of stretch due to those 3 score based chievs. However, this is all opinion based and I respect that.I probably just suck at these kind of things. |

I gave the game a 2/10 just because of the minigames. And I don't think I can give a game a harder difficulty score just because you MIGHT need more than 1 try.. : / Sorry buddy, but I think you're right when you say that you suck at those things..

See,this is what we really need.A quick guide for the bones and paints as everything else speaks for itself. EDIT : Ok,sketch was of one of the stone heads on the 10th level.Still missing the paint and the 1 bone though.I am pretty sure I have all the bones on the driving sections.I think I recall 3 on the balloon and boat and 2 on the car level. Man it's really that freakin' easy to get 200 on this? I might just get this for the fact of actually getting another 200 points and kill the monotony that is the constant level runs of Lucidity.

I can't for the life of me find the bone in chapter 4. Maybe I'm being a bit thick, I don't know! Once I've clicked on all the important stuff, all thats left are the bugs that turn into butterflies when you click them, several doors that open, the sheep which just baa and the bell which rings. I can't find anything else to click on!!
Edit: I was being thick!! Just found it under a rock about 2 minutes after I posted this! It's always the way! Last edited by red mist 85; 10-15-2009 at 10:21 AM. |

Hm, maybe we should create a list of all bones, tubes and pictures. I didn't think it would be necessary since I found all of them within seconds I started the chapter, but.. that's only me and it could be a big help to others, right?

Also, yeah,I think a list of the bones would be helpful to some.Would cut down the amount of people asking about them.Shouldn't take long either as there are only 20 and like you said, most are easy to find. EDIT : Last bone was on level 21 with the penguins. It's behind the dog in a skeleton imprint on the wall. The paint was on the level with the musical bones and is gained by not exiting straight away and stamping on the boulder that drops out of the skeletons mouth before leaving the level (I accidentally clicked on the exit first time through). Im sorry but this guide is next to useless at the moment! If im being harsh I apologise but it basically says what each achievement is and gives no proper help at giving locations of ALL the Bones, Tubes, Paintings etc
I thought there would be a link to a list of each item type and in which seasons/chapters they can be found etc... ...hopefully this will be added soon =) |

Is that the level with the 3 keys and the numpad? When it is, the very first thing you need to do is to grab the middle key. Then repair the cables on the right and then click on the locked box. The numpad will appear. You'll have to re-type a word which appears on the LCD-screen. Just do it like you'd write an SMS or so.

I'm currently stuck on the wires puzzle in the room with all the bones (I forget which chapter it is.) I've always been useless at these kinds of things. I've got no idea what it is I'm meant to be doing. Making every wire lead somewhere? Matching the colours? Untangling them? I just don't get it. I'm probably being an idiot, but I've breezed through the game until I hit this brick wall of a puzzle. Any help would be apreciated.

The term 'tube' refers to the eight landscaped paintings you can collect, correct? And approximately how many of the 20 bones are there in each of the four seasons, and how many as a remainder in the three minigames?
If I could also ask: how big of an impact does time have on your level score? |

Time doesn't have a really big impact as far I'm concerned. Just wait until somebody is so nice to set up a guide for all objects.. if there is anybody.

They look like this: ![]() The amount of tubes found throughout the game is displayed in the stats (Where all other things are listed, e.g. x/20 bones, x hints, etc.)
