My dunk-off observation...

I spent about 3 days analyzing and trying for this achievement until I've got it.

Vince Carter spawn theory. I think he shows up when you just do one 90+ dunk....period. He spawned on my first time when I didn't know what to do and did one crazy dunk by accident. While the achievement guide says you need to average 80-85, I'm here to say that you just need to do one 90+ dunk for him to spawn.

Theory #2: He seems to show up whenever you win with a marquee player like Lebron. I've gotten some crazy score with legends and he'd never spawn.



When you do get to a dunk-off, remember this: Save your good dunks just for Vince. Your previous performance DOES seem to count. So if you do a car dunk in Round 1, don't expect a high score during the dunk-off. Vince usually scores a combo of mid 80+ mid 90. When I beat him, this was the scorecard:

Vince: "Look Ma, Two Hands" = 84 points.
LeBron: "Kickin' It Harder" = 89 points.

Dunk #2:

Vince: "60 Minutes Vol 2" = 94 points.
LeBron: "Elev8r" = 93 points* Car prop down the middle.

So Vince averaged 84, while I averaged 86.

Always save your Car prop for last!! Press DOWN,UP and RT at the second top hash mark.


BTW, I also scored my only 100 ever during this session in Round 1, but doing a CONCENTRATE over a bench...and no, I don't remember what I pressed, but if somebody knows the combination, be sure to let us know!



Well that's it; Hope this helps those of you who are picking this up for the first time. This was a difficult, but a very enjoyable achievement for me.

I did 3 dunks in the first round that avg. over 95. After that round I halfass the next two rounds doing conservative dunks and after that he spawned. I did it two times in a row and after 3 days I finally got this achievement lol
