Just spent 2 hours on Level 5 (Guide Inside)

Well, I was one of the people stuck on Level 5: Trip. I was stuck after the MG when the gas comes and I have to kill people to my left then run up the path on the right towards the temple. Once there, I attempted to kill everyone (IMPOSSIBLE BTW). I did this for almost 2 hours wondering what the hell I was supposed to do.

So, I looked at a guide on YouTube and found that there was a Checkpoint there, so I just ran for it.

Well, once inside, I didn't die. Everyone was having trouble with the plank part. Here is a guide.

NOTE: When I jumped off the ledge after killing the zombies below me, I grabbed the shotgun and more grenades before heading back inside.

Guide: Once inside the temple, make your way until your comrade is dragged down into the hole. Once this happens, drop down and continue into the open room. Once there, there is a tunnel which turns right and leads to the planks.

- Go into the tunnel, follow it around, and go about halfway down. Once there, you will be confronted with enemies, go for headshots. Now, back up to the corner of the tunnel (where it turns towards the right). Now, just continue moving forward, killing, then moving back to the corner. After a few enemies, jumpers with start sprinting towards you from behind. Take them out. Then more will come from in front of you, take them out. After that just move to the plank door, crouch and go through. Then throw a good grenade and kill them all. Then just walk out and round over.

I wish I knew this before. Wasted all that time....

He means on hard and i agree 2 hours is a short time. I spent alot here and still havent passed it. I will try running next time lol

Yes the hardest part was just getting into that damn temple. Finally, once I was far enough up when you see the RPG on the right hand side Ijust for my life towards the temple door and once you make it in the door your safe...temporarily.

Also, I have not seen it mentioned but once inside the temple door and after the cut scene make sure you go left as there is a dead end, but an M60 in there. It will make the next part much easier.

Probably took me about 7 hours to 1000 this game.

From reading the achievement guide before playing I had remembered that sometimes enemies seem to just spawn over and over in front of your objective, so I just made a wild run for the temple and only barely made it.

Probably saved myself hours of tear-bringing frustration by doing this, since it was on hard.

I tried running for it during the gas/temple part, but always ran out of stamina before reaching the doorway and getting cut down. After a few tries, here's how I finally beat it:

From the edge of the gas, start picking off the first few enemies hiding behind fallen columns (these guys do NOT respawn). When they're all dead, move up to the broken column in front of you and pick off a couple more. When there are only 3 enemies left (at the doorway - these do respawn), throw a grenade as far forward as you can, and start sprinting. While running near enemies, fire a round or two to stun them, and/or throw another grenade. When they're all stunned, just book it to the doorway.

It's not as hard as people say. Just make sure to start picking off enemies at the very edge of the gas, where there's cover on the right side. Also, be careful because there will be 1 or 2 enemies attacking from behind, which you should also kill.
