Corner Issues

Anyone else having trouble with corners?

I have issue with 2 corners , 1st corner on Brands Hatch GP and the first corner on Nurenburg Ring

I have used the Nissan 240 with full driving assists (which has got me every other corner in the game), I have went around the corners at max speed and followed a perfect driving line and yet I still cant master these two corners.

I have tried different cars but still no joy , but the funny thing is the other Brands Hatch course has the same corner and ive mastered that and no doubt one of the half ring courses has the Nurenburg corner which I must also have mastered - so go figure

Im not 100% sure but I think if you brake while the arrow is fully green you wont get the corner mastered.

well corner master really means stick to the racing line 100% if you even get off of it for a split second you lose it.I should know I took most corners when it was red but stuck on the racing line (ask driftinimports aswell even he says the race line slow you down alot for no reason)

if the race line gets close to the rumble strip, put make sure your wheels drive over it.That pretty much explains everything

edit:as for the ring reverse until the countdown appears then drive normally stick on the race line 100% and you should get it

Use the mazda MX5 it is so unbelivably slow all corners become a doddle :P

Yep. MX5 - Stage 3 Braking, Suspension & Tyres(nothing else!). also put wider tyres on too, Seam Weld and Brake master cylinder. this makes your top speed look ridiculously slow on the performance chart but the handling/braking stats will be awesome. will handle like a dream! Enjoy

I ended up using the Nissan 240SX with tier 3 tires and wider tires, I mastered every track in America and Japan (Don't care to do Europe) on my first try.

I have cleared all but two corners, the two outstanding are the karousel corner on the Nürburgring track (one point to point, the other is the full circuit). Having aced all the other circuits, this is doing my head in...

I'm guessing others may have cleared this circuit/corner...any further tips?

Is this that very last corner? I cannot do it either, in the official forums people are having problems with it too....I have no idea how to do it. Has anyone managed to do it??

No, its not the last corner, I've managed to get that one (although to achieve it seems quite random).

The karousel corner is a very long left turn, with what looks to be muti coloured concrete running around the inside of the corner. It's about halfway around a full lap of the Nürburgring track and one of the point to point races is also named Karousel.

Toughest part of getting that corner is entry speed. Best to use a very slow car with well sorted tyres (I used the Escort Cosworth)... then run in a bit hotter than you think you should.

I have mastered all Japan corners and have tryed for 5 hours last nite to do one corner on amaerica and thought F this! shouted alot of abuse at my xbox and decided to go onl;ine and find a boosting partner for the online epics, we boosted Japan race and drift so that means I can now do all the carrea and leave out 3 epic badges... master all corners europe and Maerica and not have to worry about gaining all stars anymore... miles faster and easier guys I suggest you fob of the master all corner bollocks lol

NP mate. It is a tough one, it took me 5 or 6 goes to get it... which is very frustrating when it takes you 5 minutes to reach that corner. I thought I'd done it pretty much perfectly a couple of times until I tried braking a little later and taking the corner a little quicker. The race line marker encourages early braking and it's easy to get sucked into being cautious around the corner knowing it'll be anouther 5 minutes if you miss it. Good luck with it.

If several ppl say MX5, I will give MX5 a try! I hate these badges! Only worse are the Star Collector ones!

I've easily done every corner in the game except the one at the end of Karusell course and the same one in the complete norburgring.
I've tried dozens of time but i never did it... I won't get 1000/1000 because of this corner, damn.

Reading a few Shift related forums, it would appear that many people have issues clearing the karusell corner. Took me an age to master this corner, finally completed it by using the Escort and upgrading the tyres. I also used the behind the car view just to make sure the oversteer remained in check. Worked a charm.

I've tried this corner so many times its a pain in the ass, I somehow done it on the sprint version but on the actual pain in the ass 37 corners should be achievement lap it takes me 5 minutes to get there in these crap cars and I've tried going slow EXACTLY across the line and nothing, any other way I try as soon as I go into the turn it bounce me up on top of the side and off the line. It's annoying to the limit.....

Well a little haha that master shit sucks 100% of a line that isn't even perfect.
Almost impossible.
I'm not a fan of most EA games but Dead Space was great.
So that's why i agree a little.

Dead Space was developed by Visceral Games (formerly known as EA Redwood Shores)
Any ways, I have tried this corner in 6 different cars, so far MX-5 tuned to full grip seems like my best bet.

EDIT: I Think this is near impossible I have kept to that line EXACTLY so many times and done it at good speed and it still not letting me take this....

do you guys use body kit on MX5? and tune it at all? I do and I tune it all the way for cornering

Depends on how you race. I never touch the Tuning section personally. It may help some though. The MX-5 is a very slow car and handles pretty good without tuning.

what about body kit? I know on some cars putting one on actually just makes handling worse so for corner master is it better to have body kit on or no?

Which cars are you referring to? I can't say I've seen a massive difference in handling, this game's physics are kinda a joke

and I don't get the last corner at the karusell I used Audi S4 and stuck to the racing line 100% kept the speed above 45 mph throughout the corner and still nothing wtf
