CO-OP Achievements done locally?

As the title says can the CO-OP Achievements be done locally? Or only online?

Well i did my local co-op with my lil bro we just played on easisest difficulty and i used each plane but he never managed to get to the ending as long as u make it all the way trough u get the achievement
