Solution to saving problem

Ok, I dunno whether all of you have heard of this, some definitely have. Occasionally, N+ simply doesn't save your progress. There were two threads about it where you can read about the details:



So I emailed Slick Entertainment with the problem, and managed to get through to a human being, rather than some crappy auto response system, and this is the result:

Hi <removed my name>,

Unfortunately the saving method implemented in N+ was a result of restrictions that Microsoft enforces on each game title that gets published through them. The short story of it is that we are only allowed to either save or write to the leaderboards once every 5 minutes. This means that if you quit to the main menu it may still need to wait for up to 5 minutes before it can actually save.
I personally don’t like the way we had to implement the saving scheme, but it’s what was required.

So, maybe we can use that as a solution, simply wait 5 minutes after quitting to main menu, and then turning off.

What if you quit out then simply play another level, will it still save or do you have to be at the main menu?

just played episodes 10 through 22.
and only 22 saved.
that's like 60 levels that didn't save.
what is that bullshit?!
i even did the 5 minutes thing and what not.
beat 22.
went to main menu.
and went back in to check the save data.
and only 22 saved.
i suck at this game, so it is taking me forever!
...think i'm done playing this for awhile...

after 12 runs thru the co op campaign i finally pieced together times for all 10 eps and got the achieve finally. this has been one big headache when it comes to saving. argh glad its over
