First off, I would like to thank V_Thorne for all of the hard work that she put into this thread. Without her, this thread would not exist. I am taking over this thread now though because she has chosen to stop, I guess you could say.

For a list of games that have cheats that you have to do a certain thing in game to be able to use, go to post #6.

NOTE: For some reason, when I add the code for button images, they sometimes don't work because they add a space in the middle but when I go to edit it, the space isn't there and the code is correct. If there are random letters in the middle of a sequence, look at the first letter to find out what button it is. For example, :x but: = .

This thread will:
-Tell you cheatcodes that designers purposely put into games and purposely still allowed you to obtain achievements.

This thread will NOT:
-Tell you glitches that will benefit you and help get achievements
-Tell you ways around putting in cheatcodes and still getting achievements

It's not Infinite Health & Ammo, it's Full Health & Ammo, meaning that you can lose them again, and thus, have to enter the cheat again.

According to EasyXbox360Achievements.com and CheatCC.com, entering in the two codes disables Saving, not unlocking achievements. I don't know whether that is saving "in-mission" or after the mission is completed or what. Maybe by using these two cheats you have to complete the game in one sitting. I don't know because it's been at least 2 years since I've played it.

According to the road map achievement guide for The Orange Box, cheats will disable the achievements in Portal. Is that a typo or is that true?

i played cars a year or so ago and tried the cheats, got about half way through and realised the chievos didnt unlock, possibly a glitch but can any one confirm if they still work as i got rid of the game.

I played the game with the cheats and everything unlocked normally.

I played Grand Theft Auto IV and used the phone and spawned a car, I could race and still get Achievements. Just thought you should know

Batman is not on the list and the cheats disable achievements.

I personally don't like to use cheats mainly for the reason that I don't want to miss any achievements. This was really noticable for me in the Grand Theft Auto games. However I enjoy the games more with cheats. This thread will help me with that dichotomy

It will only stop you from besting the challenge boards as CHEATED will appear when your time/ step/ portal total shows up at the end of the challenge.

Thread makes me sad. Cheevos are awesome and all, but they have completely killed cheat codes in modern games. Even when they are present, no one uses them over the confusion/fear of whether they will brick their achievements for the game.

The only cheat I use is Hyperspeed on GH. With that on I can play Expert decent. Still, I will practice to get better so I don't have to put in those codes anymore... And the one in Velvet Assassin wasn't bad either...
