Dan Amrich from OXM - Gllitched achievements

hey guys,

i know the glitched achievements have been pissing people off. so i decided to write Dam Amrich from Official Xbox Magazine. he told me he was unaware that this was happening and that he would try to get an answer.

so as soon as i get one i will let you all know.

Let's hope we get some closure on this, I'm not going to get my hopes up but I really hope Atari has some clue that this is happening. I went to the PS3Trophies sister site just to see and it turns out they are going through the same issues as us.

Good call! I can't believe I didn't think of this either. Dan is a huge ghosthead too! Built his own proton pack, if I recall correctly.

not that it matters, but I've also sent an email to atari support, it reads along these lines:

I'm not sure if you are aware, but the achievements and trophies for most of the online need to be patched. "On the Payroll" doesn't unlock for most players(like me), "Egon's Guinea Pig" doesn't unlock for some as well even though they have picked up every item. For "Loans Paid Off" some people are well over 3 million and still haven't unlocked it. "No Job Too Big" Polar Slimer never shows even though we meet all the requirements. "Payday!" is 100% glitched nobody in the world has this one and we have all done the requirements needed. Please patch this or at least let me know if you intend on patching it or are we all just stuck with unlock-able achievements/Trophies in this game? I truly believe that things like these effect the chances of someone purchasing future Atari games.

Your probably going to get the same response most people are getting, atari are saying they have nothing to do with the game as sony bought out all their rights to the game and no longer deal with it.

There is a lot of talk on the atari forum linked from the ghostbusters site about this, there is even a few people contacting the better business guys and such.

Good luck though hopefully you get a decent response other than we don't deal with this contact sony.

"Nobody's talking. I can only hope that the team is working on a title update.

Keep in mind that there are achievement glitches from launch games that have never been fixed. I would hope, but not hold your breath. "

god, that's so depressing, but true. some stuff still isn't fixed from years ago.

i'd like to hope that this will get fixed someday, but i honestly don't see it happening, and it's just...sad. especially with such a big release game.

when are people going to realize that achievements are a BIG part of the 360 experience? i know people (myself included), that will buy a game with achievements as one of the front thoughts on their minds. achievements need to flippin' work.

I love to say that he's wrong, but I can't. Go and take a look at the list of games that has broken achievements in them. You might just crap your pants. While I do hold some hope for this getting fixed since it's a larger known title / property and has a pretty big following behind it, I'm sure not going to be surprised if this never receives a title update for the 360 or the PS3. [The Trophy version of this is just as glitched on the PS3]

regardless of how much i want it fixed cause i love the online, i doubt they are concerned about the achievements. most developers dont care about them. thats just a guess, so dont get all angry if they do.
