--- Foreword:

 

Firstly, I am NOT Hugh Bliss!

 

There are slight changes in the way this adventure works in comparison to the Wallace & Gromit game(s).

For this walkthrough I have employed a new system of determining what, or who, you are interacting with. Here's a brief summary;

 

- SAM; "" -- This is a conversation response made by Sam the Dog. Make sure his icon appears to the left of the speech bubble to get his available responses.

 

- MAX; "" -- This is a conversation response made by Max the Rabbit-like Entity. Make sure his icon appears to the left of the speech bubble to get his available responses.

 

Get -- This means that when you click on a specfic game-world item, you will add it to your inventory to be 'used' later on in the adventure. A lot of items you will see around you will not be 'got' in this walkthrough... mainly because they're useless! Also, you will receive a number of quest- and episode-specific items without physically 'getting' them. These will automatically appear in your inventory, like magic! Blissful magic, you could say!... or maybe not!

 

Use -- This denotes the interation with an item in your inventory (use X to bring up the INVENTORY), usually (but not exclusively) with another item in the game-world. Bring up your inventory and select the item from the pile; a description will appear above the items as you scroll through them if you're not sure which is which.

 

Drive, Examine, Look, Pull, Move -- This is an interaction with a game-world item/location, eg the DONUT BOX or RAT HOLE in the Freelance Police office. These items/locations will mostly be in plain-view, but a location decription will be included for those items in more awkward places.

 

Open -- This is an interaction with a door or a portal of some kind in the game-world. They, like most doors in the real-world, are used to get to differing locations from the current one you're in! (Did I really need to explain how a door works? No... thought not!)

 

As well as these, there are some general instructions as well, such as walk to a location or stand under a character. In these cases it is imperative that you DO NOT click on the specific locations, items or characters but stand near to them as instructed. If the walkthrough requires you to click on something, it will be worded as above, however most of the time you will have to walk to that item/location without being instructed to do so. It is assumed, in a majority of cases, that you will do this on your own!

 

If you mess anything up, I will not be held responsible for you losing achievements or getting stuck and confused in the adventure. This walkthrough worked for me, so there's no reason why it can't for you! Ner!

 

If you follow this walkthrough as it is you will get all 12 achievements in the correct order, however you will have experienced about 60% of the game and well under 50% of the conversations. You might want to play the game through on your own before consulting this walkthrough if you want to experience more of the game, and get a proper sense of achievement by solving the puzzles yourself. For those of you who still think 200GS is more important than life itself, here we go... again! To the Moon, Alice!

 

 

NOTE: It is recommended that you SAVE at regular intervals, especially before the mid-episode achievements. However this is not essential as long as you follow the guide implicitly; there is never a situation where you cannot complete the puzzles and you cannot die! If my walkthrough is REALLY bad this time and no-one can complete these games with it, there are links to the official TellTale Games walkthroughs in the SOURCE/CREDITS section. (Apologies to TellTale Games if I'm being naughty writing this walkthrough in the first place! I can always remove them if required!)

 

 

NOTE: A lot of people are having problems with achievements NOT unlocking, especially at the end of each episode. I must say that I didn't experience any problems & got all 200 in one go! However, PAUL WEALL 26 has a possible solution for those who still are;

- Save just before the end of each episode. If the achievement DOESN'T unlock, then go back to DASHBOARD, reload S&MStW & then load the savegame & complete the episode again. (For those of you with SLOW dashboards, you can reload S&MStW quickly by accessing your Quick Launch section in the Guide)

You need to slam into the back of a car to slow the DESOTO down.

Use GUN. (Lefthand icons... it's X from memory!)

Shoot the car's tail-light. (Either side or both! Sam will notify you of a successful hit)

Exit view. (Press B button)

Use MEGAPHONE.

- MAX; "Pull over!"

- SAM; "Hideously broken taillight"

Return to OFFICE. (Press the BACK button)

 

Open BOSCO'S INCONVENIENCE.

Use $10,000 with BOSCO.

Open EXIT DOOR.

 

Open SYBIL'S.

Use TEAR GAS GRENADE LAUNCHER with PEEPERS.

Get SPRAY PAINT. (On the car-boot behind the DESOTO)

Use SPRAY PAINT on GRAFFITI. (Between the DESOTO and the office steps, under the open office window)

Open OFFICE DOOR.

 

Look out of OPEN WINDOW.

Use BOWLING BALL on SPECS.

Open OFFICE DOOR.

Talk to SPECS.

 

Open BOSCO'S INCONVENIENCE.

Get SLICE O' CHEESE.

Open BATHROOM DOOR.

Use CHEDDAR CHEESE with WHIZZER'S CRATE.

Talk to WHIZZER.

Dodge the boxes being thrown from the SODA POPPERS' van and get close behind it. If you get hit by a box, or anything along the side of the road, you will slow down and move further away from the van. !Beware! This might take a while & get rather irritating.

Use GUN. (X again, I think)

Shoot either back-tyre of the van to stop the SODA POPPERS. (This can take a while to do as the boxes are still being thrown and will cause the DESOTO to slow down while you're in gun view.)

Get ADMISSION FORMS.

Drive DESOTO.

- SAM; "Let's head back to the office"

Use SYMPTOMS FORM with SYBIL.

If you mess this next little section up, you will be presented with another set of three words, just pick the obvious one to do with either DENTISTRY or HAIR-STYLING to proceed. You cannot 'fail' this, so just keep going until you get it. The list provided here is the first set of words SYBIL will give you.

Enter the three colours as presented on the license plate. (BRP-214 would be BLUE for the front, RED for the middle & PURPLE for the back)

Drive DESOTO.

IN EPISODE 5 - REALITY 2.0 there is a small section MISSING!!!!

 

When you come out of the CONTROL ROOM to fight AUNTIE BIOTIC you need to press the button on the GREEN COMPUTER to re-enable the pop-ups when using the JACK-IN THE BOX to defend against her 1st attack

 

Just thought id add it as i was stuck on it for quite a while

I had to do episode 6 three times before the unicorn achievement unlocked. On the third playthrough I also used the unicorn with Lincoln while in the Blister of Tranquility.

 

I'm not sure if that is what finally unlocked the achievement, but you might want to try it if you have the same problem.

It's a good walkthrough but pretty off. I followed your guide on getting the acting achievement and it didn't pop for me, same with the unicorn.

And yes, I made sure to ask everyone on your list

I had the same experience as mortenl, I believe you need to show Lincoln the unicorn as well. I showed to him right after showing it to Pennyworth. [Very Minor Spoiler] He doesn't actually say anything about it, but it must count anyway - the description for the achievement would make more sense if it was "Offer to show 11 people your unicorn" because it's not about 10 reactions, it's 11. [End Very Minor Spoiler]

I guess the comment SUPERBALL makes (when you show him the UNICORN) doesn't count as a 'proper' comment. You can't show him again, Sam just says 'No way'.

Despite not commenting, maybe showing the UNICORN to LINCOLN does count... but I don't remember doing that when I did my run-through.

 

I have updated Episode 6.

 

It's a good walkthrough but pretty off. I followed your guide on getting the acting achievement and it didn't pop for me, same with the unicorn.

The Improviser achievement is correct, the other three disguises do not get a response from PENNYWORTH. Again, I only did the six on my list and the achievement unlocked as soon as Sam said 'Our chef'.

Just for a bit of confirmation, I just played through Episode 6 twice, the first time explicitly following the walkthrough and not receiving the Unicornicopia achievement. Then, the second time repeating the walkthrough, but adding in the step of using the unicorn on Lincoln before doing the Sybil dialogue with him, and the achievement popped when using it with Hugh Bliss right before the shenanigans with the Magician's Talisman starts.

Nice guide, but the format is a bit crappy. Maybe i'm the only one but I had to open up game faqs guide as i missed some things (spacing). No your fault just noting it may be an issue for others as it was for me.

 

On the one where you have to examine the camera by the buy 1 get 1 free sign, I'm pretty sure you don't get anything if you examine it and must look under it for the object required.

I was just about to do the last one and as soon as I said "Our chef" it popped. ( I did a few out of order before looking at the guide).

So I think really all you need to do is get the first reaction that is positive and then you can go to the next one

Thanks, I am always on the lookout for quicker ways to complete the achievements for games.

I will need to check that out, but I found pulling THE COW'S TAIL was a simple way of getting PENNYWORTH to mess up the scene & force the DIRECTOR to reset it so you can do another disguise.

 

I'm sure you're as excited at the Monkey Island being a stepping stone to more returns of the classics as I am? :)

 

WOW! You cannot begin to imagine how many pleasure receptors are firing in my tiny brain at the moment; I've just completed SECRET OF MONKEY ISLAND, LECHUCK'S REVENGE & presently stuck in RUBACAVA in GRIM FANDANGO. I just can't remember what to do next! It's sooooo annoying... THIS is why we loved & hated LucasArts in equal measure! I say 'Bring it on, LucasArts, bring 'em ALL on! My MSP are lovingly waiting for you!'

The beacon is hidden behind the CAMERA, but it is only accessible when S&PM see BOSCO'S INCONVENIENCE on the TARGETTING COMPUTER... if you don't do this first, SAM just says that it's a CAMERA. If you examine the SALE SIGN instead, SAM just says 'it's buy one, get one'.
