June 14 Subscriber Tournament - Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Welcome to the June Subscriber Tournament! We are playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2. We normally do double elimination, but since this is a sequel, we will go for triple elimination! Only three maps involved: Villa, Vegas Junkyard and Killhouse.

Avelena will be running the x360asubscriber tag, so please send messages and questions during the tournament to that gamertag so that she can address them. Also send results to that address if you are not my group.

Start time for Round 1 is 1200 PT, 1500 ET, 2000 GMT.

Round 1:

Deathmatch on Vegas Junkyard, 5 minute rounds, no point limit, unlimited respawns, high stakes set to NO. Two lowest kill totals from each group gets a loss, every one else gets a win.

I don't think it really matters who is host.

For the games where Apple dropped out, is it still the bottom 2 who get the loss or is it just the bottom one?

If their bandwidth is up for it, the first person on the list should host. If not, try the second, etc.

That was a fun one, and nice and short instead of the four hour long Uno tournament! Trying to avoid those marathon sessions....

That's why I didn't join. Unless it's a game I have (Halo 3 or Orange Box, basically) then I won't bother going out to find the game for the tourney.

The only retail game I've bought for a tourney was Paradise and that was because I <3 Burnout soooooooooooooooooo much. BTW, just finished it yesterday! 1250/1250!

it looks like you wont play that many tourneys then and really I think the final game was a good one because I did not face dude once during the first 3 preliminary rounds

I couldnt make it because it was in the middle of the night for me, and I thought that date written was simply the date it OPENED and then it was contested later ...

I'm pretty sure it is just going to be with a border around it for what place you got. Just like every other subscriber tournament award.

With us doing a tournament every month, I had the graphics team come up with a standard format that can essentially just have the game tile pasted in each time to cut down on the work. If you have noticed, the tournament banner graphic is the same thing every time also, except for the game tile.
