Beat Arcade mode on Hard

The Career achievements do not stack!

I would recommend starting from easy and going to hard.

This is defiantly the hardest achievement in the game.

Tips:

-Stay Close to the net to prevent spikes and such

-When portals come up, get back a little, because the birdie may teleport to the back

- Use smash for most of your hits ( I went through the whole game without using nothing but LB)

-Most of all, Be Patient! Don’t constantly just tap LB

Win a perfect match on Hard (Single Player modes only)

After a little bit of practice, simply start your career on hard. And Shut out the first opponent. (The easiest hard CPU in the game)

Score 8 points in a single match using Power Shots (Single Player modes only)

This is second hardest one in the game. There is 2 ways you can do it. First I would recommend doing the hard career. Because you may get it during the process. Because on hard, you get a power up every shot.

Second way would be to play the computer on normal, and keep getting power shots. But when u get to 10, just let them get points, because its win by 2! So your should have it around the 15-16 point range.

Win a match without jumping on Normal or Hard (Single Player modes only)

Simply start a game on normal. And beat the computer without jumping (Pressing LB)

"Electricity Power up does not count as a jump"

Score 8 points using Short Shot in a single match (Single Player modes only)

Also very simple. Start a game on Easy. I recommend serving with a long shot (Right trigger). Then when the robot goes back, hit a short shot (Left Trigger)

Rinse and repeat until you have made 8 points doing short shots.

Return 20 Power Shots in a single match (Arcade mode only)

You will get this during 1 of the 3 careers. Probally on hard. Just Return 20 power shots.

http://x360a.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=3460&stc=1&d=124451220710

Defeat Signum IV on Normal or Hard

Signum IV is the Boss after you complete the game. You can lose, and keep retrying. The best way is to do this on Normal. Use manual aim. And hit below the smash line to prevent him from smashing it.

http://x360a.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=3460&stc=1&d=124451220710

Hit the bird 15 times in a row (Single Player modes only)

You should get this during 1 of the 3 careers. Just have a rally of 15. There is a counter at the bottom of the screen.

http://x360a.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=3460&stc=1&d=124451220710

Smash 8 shots in a row (Single Player modes only)

This will just take a few minutes. I very much doubt that you will get this in your career. There is a strategy to this. Start a game on normal, beat the first robot. And then you will be getting your achievement on the second robot. When your smashing, put the right stick towards the wall, and just keep smashing till you get 8. You may not do this on your first try.

http://x360a.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=3460&stc=1&d=124451220710

Complete the Practice Mode

Very simple, easiest achievement in the game. Just complete the tutorial in the beginning of the game

For "Fear of Heights" you said put the game on easy, but the achievement requires it to be on Normal or Hard...Also would using the electric jump shot be a jump?

Edit: Just answered my own question. The electricity power up doesn't count as jumping.

For Hard mode this worked for me:

OK, this is tough, but doable.

Three main things to remember,

pay uber-attention to what power-ups the cpu picks up, and always be patient, and lastly, spike, spike, spike.

On hard you will receive a power-up every time you hit the birdie.

When the cpu picks up the Dragon or the Teleport power-up, especially the Teleport, be ready to immediately roll back a little as usually he will try to get the bird behind you, he will usually spike it in front of you with the Dragon, but not always.

I used LB through all the stages. When serving I post up at the net and used RT for a long shot, forcing the cpu to usually spike or medium hit.

The main thing is anticipating the cpu's hit based on what power-up it has, and consistently returning the bird until the cpu will mess up.

I hope this helps!

One last NOTE:

When the cpu gets the Firecracker power-up (bird with trailing stars), DO NOT spike the explosive bird power-up as it will almost always land out or richochet randomly into the ground, to return this shot, simply

wait until the bird falls below the smash line.

No he didn't. It says put the game on normal.

Pretty decent guide so far. Good job. I am just working on career through hard myself and am on the 13th bot but I didn't know that the acheivements weren't stackable so that kinda sucks.

Got it after about 3 hours.

Also I don't think that staying near the net on hard is such a good idea as they will then spike it all the way to the back of the court. I think that the key is to stay close to the middle and go back there after every hit. Position is the key to victory.
