will the achievement unlock if...

i go to
Unlocked acts > Act 8 and complete it on killer.

Will i get the achievement, or do i have to re-do the entire campaign upto that point to get the achievement?

I believe you have to start a new game on The Killer difficulty because you wont get the option to play the unlocked acts on that difficulty until after you beat it by starting a new game. So yes, you'll have replay the entire campaign up to that point for the achievement. That's how it was for me anyway.

That's exactly it, you have to beat the whole game in The Killer to unlock the chapter select for The Killer.

i have the option to play act 8 on killer difficulty :P i have already done it once before but i think i might of used cheats -.- so the achievement for 8 onwards didnt unlock

That actually happened to me with my first play through on assassin. The only way I was able to unglitch it was by deleting the game save from my HDD and starting all over again from scratch =/.

Hopefully that isn't the case with you though because that'd suck.

i really cba doing the game twice over to get 2 achievements.... Nevermind i'll leave it there for wanted i think.
