: Question about VPN help please :

I bought a US vpn from vpngates.com
it works fine with my computer
but the xbox360 and the other 2 computers still
use the old IP ???

I want to download Gears 2 maps + movies...........etc

What do you mean you bought a new VPN? Do you mean a new router? You will need to provide a lot more specifics for people to help with this.

Meanwhile, check the Tech Centre and General Xbox Live forums for the FAQ posts, they may provide an answer.

OK well from what I understand about them and how they work is you can only use the IP they give you on one PC. You would have to pay another fee for another IP through them. As of now unless their is something about the 360 I do not know their is no way to use this with your 360. This service does not actually give you a new IP it simply ghost one to your actuall IPS so all they see is your constant connection to them. That way you can surf the web with more privacy. This is really meant for people who do mass amounts of illegal uploading and downloading as well as people who on going to web sites that they don't want to be flagged for by their ISP. Just wondering why you would need this to work in order to download GoW2 maps? So please any info into why you think you would need this program to get DLC from XBL Marketplace would be great.

On your 360, find the network settings and make sure it is set to dynamic/DHCP. That way whatever network you're plugging it into will give it the IP you intended.
