Appears the game will feature 2-3 Players

1 Player is the Dishwasher
2 Player is a Shadow
3 Player is a Guitar

now for the 3rd player it requires a guitar controller.

I know the game is not out so the only source I have is the developer of the game saying on the 360 Fancast Podcast

I've no idea if this is over LIVE or not I would imagine its just for local play, either way I hope achievements can be gained for all players

i've seen that is has co-op in arcade mode but its the first i've heard of a third person playing a guitar. it's not clear how it will work, if that person is playing the guitar minigame instead of the other players of if they actually are playing as this phantom guitar in the joystiq article, that's dishing out the pain with the cyborgs. bit confusing but if playing riffs literally blows the enemies minds, i don't think i'll get bored of it anytime soon.

Xbox Live Marketplace says that it has 1-2 local and Live multiplayer 2. Whatever "Live multiplayer 2" is. Don't they usually word that differently?

Major Nelson on his Podcast said it was a 3-player game. I'm assuming the "Shadow" is the only thing that counts as a "player", as the 3rd person would be playing as a guitar. hahaha.

It appears that co-op is just the arcade mode with 2 people

but I believe in the story you can get 3, I've not tried it but you have to obtain an item to allow a 2nd player to join as the Shadow.

No Idea about the Guitar since I've yet to plug mine in.

Would also like to find out if other players gain achievements, since I believe you keep the ability for a 2nd player if you was to start again so could make the highest difficulty easier if you have someone around to play with and would kinda suck having to run though the game twice for all players to obtain the achievements.

Well to get the game 3 Player you need to grab the Amulet of Phantom Rock & Amulet of Shadow

Once you have obtained them both you can play the story with 3 players, unfortunately this is only over local but I don't imagine it would block achievements for the 1st player so surely this will make Samurai difficulty a bit easier since everything carries over from any playthrough.

There is no video for the Amulet of Shadow but its near the Killer Solo Amp in St. Crux Cemetery.

Also I can confirm other players will not unlock any achievements, only the first player

And really makes the game a hell of a lot easier
