Here's how to get all medals and only play adventure mode once
The worst part of this game would have to be the thought of playing through adventure mode three times in order to get bronze, silver, and gold medals. Here's what to do to only have to play adventure mode once:
Play through the entire adventure mode on simulation difficulty. After getting all the gold medals for this, go to Open Season mode. In Open Season mode set the difficulty to one of the lower levels and then play a level. After completing the level you will get the achievement for whatever difficulty you played it on for whatever part of Alaska that level would be under. For example: If you played in Open Season on the North Slope level on Greenhorn difficulty you would get the Western Arctic Bronze Badge. If you played Sitka level on Sportsman difficulty you would get the Southeastern Silver Badge. |

You can actually play the difficulty below simulation(I think it's Sportsman) and still get the badges this way. Just thought I would let everyone know.

Actually, you can do it on the lowest difficulty, Greenhorn. I played through the main and special hunts and the fishing contest, got the bronze medal, played an Open Season "round" or whatever on Sportsman and Simulation to get the Silver and Gold medals, then went back into Adventure, did the dog sled races, and then played another level on Open Season to get the Platinum Badge (on either Sportsman or Simulation). I don't know if you necessarily have to do it that way, like maybe if you just do all the contests on greenhorn and then play an Open Season level on Sportsman or higher you'll get the Silver or gold AND the Platinum at the same time. All I know is that what I already described worked for me, and I'm gonna do that on each area to unlock all the medals. Hope this makes the game less painful and crappy for you.
Edit: What a horrible game for my first post memory. Last edited by Twizlex; 06-14-2007 at 06:17 AM. Reason: added a comment |

yeah it definately works if you just beat just the main hunts and first fishing contest in greenhorn difficulty, then go to open season and choose one tag for an area inside a region (like northern slope which will give you the western arctic badge). but i recommend you beat the whole game on sportsman because you need to get the platinum badges anyway, then go back and use the trick to get the bronze and gold ones

easier way!!
Credit to Juiced Pirate on trueachievements.com play one level on greenhorn and complete all hunts. DO NOT travel to next level!! save game and quit to main menu. then play open season on any hunt in the area you are currently playing on adventure. pick one tag and play on sportsman ( you will get silver and platinum) pick one tag and play on simulation ( you will get gold achie) Then go on to next area, rinse & repeat Easier because you only have to play adventure on GREENHORN and only have to hunt one animal on each level on Simulation and Sportsman Last edited by Mullac; 08-04-2009 at 09:02 AM. |

Thanks for the heads up ive got this on the way and my friend told me how the game must think you are a young budding David Attenborough or something because nothing happens when you put your sights on an animal.

EDIT: Found my answer in another thread. Play the fishing missions in Open Season instead. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...d.php?t=125032 Last edited by Radjago; 10-29-2009 at 03:44 AM. |

I'm still lost. I just got the achievement for completing some of the adventure on SPORTSMAN difficulty and just got SILVER. Then I killed some animals in open season on GREENHORN and got BRONZE.
Spartan says to start out on SIMULATION difficulty. Is it too late for me to complete the rest of adventure? Should I restart it on SIMULATION or just keep going and then have to play it all over again? thanks

I just started this game tonight and when I only got the simulation difficulty achievement I was furious. I'm glad I know a trick now, I started on simulation so I don't know how much harder it actually is (seems rather easy except for being killed and dog sledding).
Speaking of that, what is an easy way for dog sledding? I run out of stamina rather easy (should I just stop and let the dogs rest and not care about time?) and the sled breaks easily too, seems like it just gradually decreases, any pointers? thanks
