I just beat Call of Duty 3 on veteran today and I have to say it was definitely one of the harder to beat in the series. I only did about 2 or 3 missions a day to avoid disliking the game to the point where I simply didn't want to even put it in my 360.
Advice for those in the process or looking to complete this game: I think the most difficult part of this game is simply the amount of time and objectives that must be completed in between each check point. I often found myself repeating certain sections five or six times which I successfully completed the first time through just because the last objective before the checkpoint is triggered was very difficult and I died without knowing exactly what to do. I think I still managed to beat the game in about 5 or 6 days but all I can really reinforce is patience. If you have the patience to try over and over you will be able to beat the game on veteran. Some parts seem very lucky and some parts I simply would take cover and let the seemingly useless AI cover me for a certain amount of time triggering new objectives, other times I would simply rush the AI and try to complete objectives early instead of waiting to kill seemingly endless chains of enemies. It's all about experimenting with certain situations and seeing what works. If you die going to the left 5 times in a row try going to the right, or if you just can't seem to stay alive when you physically try to thin out herds of enemies simply take cover and leave your xbox for 15 minutes to take a break. Come back in 15 and see if the AI has thinned the enemies enough for you to progress. Lastly, as I just mentioned it a little in the previous statement don't forget to take breaks. If you are stuck on a certain checkpoint do not be afraid to turn off your xbox and pick it up later. It really helps to just take a break and try it again later. That is my two cents on the game and if you have any questions about specific parts of the game feel free to message me over live and I can try and let you know how I progressed past certain parts of the game. |

Im not saying Im a Godly fps gamer or anything, but overall it wasn't that bad for me. It took me a little over 2 days to beat on veteran, now for the multiplayer. The last checkpoint in the forest was a BITCH.
![]() That was So Horrible. Other then that it was ok. ![]() Does anyone know if I could just search and join a boosting session? I didnt know if that was like the only thing people were doing or what.

Finished it about an hour or so ago; one of the best I've played with only two very frustrating points. Once you figure out how to deal with AI, the game is a breeze. =)
To be honest, think I died more on normal than I did on veteran... Haha. Which overall, still wasn't much because I didn't get purple heart! D: Good luck to those that have recently picked the game up, it's a decent campaign although super short. :/ Any boosters, send a FR my way and a message! GT: ChrisDahFur |

I never played a Call of Duty before, this is my first one. I started to play immiedatly in Veteran and finished it, doing almost 3-4 mission a day. It would took me just 3 days if the f*****g 360 didn't scratched my disk, had to rebuy it from Marketplace so Microsoft owe me 2400 MP.
Some spots were tricky, but if I can manage to finish it without playing it once, I can do the other CoD as well. |

I don't know how you guys have done it. I put the game away a few years ago when I couldn't get up the hill in the second level...the Island. When you supposedly follow the creek up the right side of the hill. After a million times, I gave up.
Well, a few years later, I try again. I cruise through the 1st level and the 2nd until....that frikkin hill again. I swear, there is NO WAY to do this. I crawl underwater beside a log and still get peppered dead.

After many, many swear words.. I finally finished this highly frustrating challenge!
Without a doubt, much harder than anything I've done before, gaming wise.. |

Finally finished this game on veteran a few minutes ago and I couldn't be happier to take it out of my 360 after that hellish campaign frankly. Oddly enough I had less trouble with the forest level and the furnace section compared to a few parts in other levels and I heard they would be the toughest but luckily with all the tips out there, it makes those parts more bearable now at least. Good luck to anyone else trying to get this done or that is currently attempting it. You have my sympathies.

FINALLY F*CK YEAH!
This was the hardest CoD i played till today. So unfair, so glitched, sometimes i wished i would have had one of the developers by my side to punch him in the face everytime this ubermighty cheating AI killed me. The last mission, the last checkpoint (clear the house) was one of the hardest parts because no matter how far you got after the house, you died, you started b4 the house *argh*. I'm so reliefed that i will never play this game anymore. Real pain in the *ss. |

I Managed to get to the mortar 9 out of 10 times after my 5th try or so but the damn mortar controls suck balls! anyway, fuck yeah!
edit: oh and I forgot to mention that my controller now has a bitemark

Just done the game on Veteran yesterday, definitly the hardest Call of Duty ive ever played, still got Call of Duty 2 to go. The game is buggy, your teamates comes in the front of you, ennemies shoot through wall sometimes, at least there's no rain grenade. It was a good game until level 12.
I almost throwed my 360 out of the window, i cried because the rage inside of me was too big, i swear I was about to file a complain against Treyarch and I still think i will LOL, i'm still mad a day after and i don't think I will ever play this game again.
