X-blades is a fun Hack and Slash action/adventure game about a treasure hunter named Ayumi who stumbles upon the ruins she longed to find. After making it into the ruins she immediatly finds the treasure that she was searching for. Upon touching the treasure , a curse is casted upon her and so you much venture around the small ruins to get rid of this curse.

Introduction:
Big Hack and Slash titles such as Ninja Gaiden II & Devil May Cry 4 are known for their insane achievements giving alot of respect to gamers who accomplished the 1000 gamerscore from these games ... but X-Blades is nothing like that. Everything comes naturally to you so you have nothing to worry about when playing it. Dont use hack your sword back and forth, you also have guns and magic as your disposal. The levels are short small areas where you just have to take down selected monsters, once you have realized good tactics to beat those monsters, which shouldnt take too long, you'll be flying through the game for an easy 1000 points.

Step #1: First Playthrough
You can start the game on whatever difficulty you want , Normal or Hard , I recommend Hard to better prepare yourself for the damage you will be inflicted with on Pro , But if you wanna go for it on Normal , go ahead since normal is much more of a breeze , they both unlock Pro. During your first play through you can go for 920 if your playing it on hard , use this play through to get every achievement beside the 2 Pro achievements , As you cannot get those until you beat the game once. During this Play through make a separate save file once you have around 15000 souls and on that save file , purchase the dark spells for your dark related achievements. This should take about 7 hours depending on how well you can catch on to playing the game

Step#2: Second Playthrough
Nothing carries over on this playthrough as far as spells and any upgrades you've gotten , anything for your achievements like monster kills and levels without taking damage carry over .Once you've unlocked Pro you will get to choose from 2 armors to start with on Pro , More Defense or Regeneration , whichever fits your method of fighting , but they both get the job done , In Pro you can just rush through all the stages , dont worry about artifacts or anything , Just buy your prefered spells and proceed on. Keep in mind , in Pro you get much more damage dealt and whenever you buy items to heal , the cost is always doubled after , so preserve them as much as you can until you start earning millions of souls.

Conclusion:
This game was highly anticipated by a select few and was given many bad reviews. The games not bad , but it isn't really what we expected either. Many Hack and Slashers will be disappointed . but have fun playing the game. I recommend this game for rental , don't waste your 60 dollars on such a short game. And if you already spent that 60 .. you might as well get the most out of your money. If your a completionist , you will surely get your full 1000

You can play through right away on Hard to get both your normal and Hard achievements for the story , It will be hard if your switching from normal to pro so i recommend starting at Hard to help prepare yourself for Pro , its hard at the beginning until you get more than enough Souls to keep yourself alive

This is unlocked after beating the game , it is surely much harder than the other two , i recommend going though the game on hard first , to keep you prepared for all the damage you'll be taking , oh and the cost of all your rage and healing is doubled after every use

Kill a monster in the air using blades

During the tutorial you can jump up and slash the aerial monsters it tells you to shoot , but you must double jump to hit them (,,)

Execute your first combo

After getting your first melee upgrade it will display a combo , but if you simply slash down the monsters throughout the game , it will be sure to pop up

The easiest way to get this is by playing through these levels , dont worry about getting it early on , as it might just be a waste of your time

• Dead Passage (Evening)
• Blades of Death
• Blades of Death (Evening)
• Underground Hall
• Finale

You will return to certain areas during the game , if im not mistaken they will count again toward your untouched levels , See "Flawless Victory" for Underground Hall , And during the Finale simply barrage the boss with Light blasts , when your rage is down , press select and heal with Max Rage from items , quickly press and continue , repeat , This is easier in Light form , it gives your light blasts more power and the cost of rage reduced


Flawless victory 50
Win a boss fight without losing your health

Manually Save to be safe before this achievement , After the Hall of Columns level youll be in the Underground Hall where it displays the only way to defeat the boss , DO NOT enter the arena , the Boss will keep running against the door so it cant reach you , stay all the way back and keep hitting the actions displayed which are (,,) and you should get your Flawless victory


Magic Woman 40
Complete level using only magic

Pick a level where you wanna only use magic , Do this achievement early on in the game before the harder monsters start appearing , for this achievement you CAN NOT slash at all or shoot , even at nothing itll ruin the achievement

Being good is easy 20
Complete game with a “good” ending at Normal difficulty

For this achievement you just CAN NOT buy any Dark spells throughout the game , and the achievements for each difficulty are stacked

Learn all Dark spells

See "Dark Side"

Light adept 10
Learn all Light spells

Learn the following light spells , they'll all be easy to buy once you progress more through the game

• Lightform
• Light Blades
• Ray of Light
• Flash of light

Finish him 50
Defeat The Dark One at The Dark Temple

Kill off the Dark ones Minions and then barrage him with Ice spells , dont stop for a minute , if your rage is going down , press and use the item Rage to heal , press and continue , keep doing this until hes dead , he wont be able to do anything if you keep going


Counter impossible 30
Get IMPOSSIBLE hit counter

During the second level , Once the ground monsters appear , wait for a large group to come together at you and then start slashing them nonstop , make sure one doesnt stop and hits you , keep slashing until you hit IMPOSSIBLE hit counter which is hit at x150 hits


Dark Side 20
Execute Dark form for the first time

Easiest to do this is to make a seperate save file during your main playthrough , anywhere as long as you have around 15000 souls and Dark ball in spells to buy , save in in the seperate file , load it up and buy Dark Ball , Dark Rage , and Finally Dark Form , youll get your "Servant of the Dark" achievement , bind your Dark form and activate it for "Dark side" . This way it wont ruin your Good Ending Achievements


Light Side 20
Execute Light form for the first time

You will be able to use Lightform after defeating the Dark form , itll show up in a display box on how to use it


Lock and load 50
Learn all shooting improvements

Buy the following upgrades , do not worry about the cost , youll have more than enough souls as you progress

• Furious Shooting
• Furious Bullets
• Wide shot
• Improved Wide Shot
• Mega Shot
• Improved Mega shot

You do not have to buy wide shot or Mega shot , as they are given to you at a certain point in the game , to save you souls

Use every item atleast once

Simply use the following items once they are all unlocked

• Healing
• Max Healing
• Rage
• Max Rage

Collect 3 silver artifact parts

This will come naturally as you play the game

Famous monster eliminator 50
Kill 10 000 monsters

If you havent unlocked this once you've gotten to Hall of Columns , simply go back and keep playing the level , you get at least 400 kills per time so you should easily get to 10000 if you've already killed alot through the story . All your kills are cumulative from all your save files and can be seen whenever you leave an area in your stats

Soul collector 10
Collect 5 000 souls

See "The best soul collector"

Great soul collector 20
Collect 50 000 souls

Epic soul collector 30

For all the soul achievement , they are NOT cumulative , you must have that many in your soul count , you should get the first 3 Soul achievements naturally , if you havent gotten to 50 million by the Hall of columns , play through it as you get around 14 million per round , the same level also helps monster kills

IMHO, I would not start on hard difficulty, I would start on Normal. Reason being is when you beat it on Normal you get 2 additional costumes that unlock(one that constantly regens and one that has added defence). The added defence armor makes Pro as difficult as Normal, it's that good. Otherwise good guide, good job

maybe a stupid question, but i dont have it yet and wanted to get an answer beforehand. can you replay the level with a restart option or can you manualy select a level that you've beaten to do the "can you ever touch me" achievement later with weapons upgraded etc?

To replay levels , you have run back to them , there not of long distance though. Weapon upgrades are given for the artifacts you find and you have have keep going forward in the game , after a while the weaker enemies will disppear everywhere and whenever you go back they dont be there anymore

Though id say you wouldnt have to worry about going for it , i thought the same thing

You can start it on Normal , since that'll unlock pro anyway to make the last boss fight easy , just go into light form and spam light blasts and youll eventually win

Compared to Onechanbara [since they came out the same day]

This game is nothing , a game to add to an easy 1000 list

quick question I as reading the guide to get all the silver/ gold /ect pieces and it has this:
The Great Rift - secret area

There is a hidden regen costume (same as the one you get for beating the game) on top of the platforms in this secret area which is accessed from the Ruins II. There are no artifacts here.

I went there but I am not sure if i got it or not. i got some gold looking icon thing but nothing popped up and then i fell down and died. I went back and it was still gone but how can i tell if i got it? the costume looks the same i think. and the only thing i can see is in the items page i can buy regeneration 1. is this the new costume? and when it says regeneration.. does it mean that it auto regenerates health? or it just allows me to buy that item now. .. so confused lol.

Just a heads up, not sure if anyone has mentioned it or not, but Can you EVER touch me? is stackable.

I got five when playing on normal, and while fighting the first boss on Pro, I used the tilted building trick, and bam, achievement unlocked.

I didn't do the trick on this level while playing on Normal though, so I can't confirm if levels are stackable (ie level 3 on normal, and level 3 on Pro). But I can confirm that the difficulties do stack for this one.

Hallelujah! Now I only need to finish the game on Pro without using dark magic, and then maybe kill a few extra baddies for the 10k and I'll be done.

levels are not stackable, meaning getting 0hits in Deadly Passage on normal and pro are not 2 counts to the achievement. The first time you beat a level with 0hits it will be coloured golden. if you do it again on pro for example it will be simple white like the rest. so you need six different levels during the 2 runs.

Just found a great way to boost kills.

Go to The Hall of Columns and fight until the Galapagos spawns. Once he does, run down the stairs to where you entered the level and go to the left side of the red smoke gate.

Once here, turn around (you'll now be on the right side of the gate) and look towards the stairs and tape your right trigger down.

I've had mine set like this for about 15 minutes now and they haven't gotten close to me once.

10k kills, here I come!

EDIT: I was bored, so I figured I'd calculate how long it would take to get my last 3k kills with this method. At the rate I'm getting kills, it's going to take me anywhere in between 2.5-5 hours to get 3k.

Would be a great method to leave on while you go to class, take a nap, etc.

The amount of souls needed for this doesn't seem quite right. I'm currently at my first playthrough on normal and the Dark Form spell alone costs 13000 souls. So you'd actually need around 15000 souls for the three of them.

However, i don't see how it's possible to get the "Counter Impossible" achievement the way you described.

I am in my 1st playthrough, normal difficulty, this three legged enemies are too fast, they alway hit me, and my sword only reaches the big ones, the smaller i can only hit with bullets.

Am i doing something wrong, should i have any special skill or something?

My highest combo was 7 hits =/
