can u take the new update off so u can do the old achievements that rnt on xtreame legends?

if anyone wanted to know, if u are not signed in online, it will unlock the achievement as soon as u unlock the last character that is unlocked by a certain story. i duno if its different if u were online, so if people know, can they post to help those hu are unsure.
