wut car did any1 use 2 get the 230 mph in a speedtrap? a guy told me 2 use the corvette so i went to my cars and upgraded with the best parts and it doesnt go over 205 mph

You should be able to use the corvette, just tune it for top speed not acceleration.

an easy way 2 get a good lead on Darius in the first race against him (the circuit race) is in the first lap the shortcut where you drive down the alley and at the end ther is a jump the end, get on the right-hand side of Darius and make sure he doesnt take that turn to go down that alley (try and make sure u do though) he'll keep driving until the next turn and realize he didnt go down the alley so he turns around to go through the shortcut. you can get a 1 minute lead on him if you're lucky.

the 3 times i did that race it worked so i hope this works for u guys and helps anyone out

NEED FOR SPEED 230 MPH ACHIEVEMENT:

I'm writing this for people like me that it takes longer than it should to figure things out, even with other peoples tips..

**I recommend getting this achievement AFTER you've completed the Career mode, as it unlocks all the Racing Packages for your cars.**
1. Unlock Dodge Viper.
2. Go to "My Cars" on the main menu and put the Viper in there.
*3. Select (A) on the Viper to customize. Select the "Performance" option. Select "Optimize Performance" by hitting the (X) button. (This should add all the Racing Packages.)
4. Go back to the main menu and select Quick Race. Scroll through to the first Speedtrap race on the list.
5. Turn "AI Opponents" to 0 so no one will get in your way. Select your Viper.
6. After the 3-2-1 start goes, DON'T go forward. Your target is the first Speedtrap of the race, so back up until just before the track starts to curve, maximizing your "runway".
7. Peel-out, saving your Nitrous, until JUST before the Speed Limit 35 sign. UNLEASH THE NITROUS!!

*Your car can only be maximized in performance by unlocking all Racing Packages in Career mode.

This method put me at 232 MPH in the first speedtrap of the race. The achievement won't unlock right away.. you have to finish the race first.

im confused, if u lose all ur reward cards when u start a new alias. How do you get the online reward cards that u already got from the old alias onto the new alias

Somebody said you can lose all your money and cars in Career and get Game Over, which means new career but kept reward cards, challenges etc..

Search around the NFS Carbon area for such information.

There is an easy way to get the 3 car types achievments. Start a career and pick the car that corresponds with the achievment (tuner,exotic,muscle) then get about 20% of the way through, and
go to the car lot and buy the cars of the same type and fill the garage. The cars shouldnt cost any thing. I am using the Collector's Edition btw.

hmmm i tried that but everytime i filled the garage up and sold the cars it didnt make any more room so i just made 3 seperate alias and filled it with each car trap

Just to add to this,
to make it extremely easy,
after optimizing the performance:

tune both the engine, and transmission, fully to horsepower
(all 3 aspects of each)
and tune your nitrous to full velocity
(all 3 aspects)

you'll now easily clock 240mph+

Beat an EA Moderator in an Online game

First you must get matched up with an EA Moderator, and then you must actually beat them. This isnt easy now, as they dont play to often, so your best bet is to send them a message over Xbox Live. Here are the Moderator's Gamertags:

there are a few ways to do this

1st: Sell all your career cars, because for the online side you dont need career cars

2nd: Download any single car for 80 ms points, go to a car lot and the selected car is now 0 credits to buy, fill your garage with it. after this return to the dashboard, go to your systems tab, then memory go to your need for speed carbon file and delete your DLC (downloaded content) once deleted re load your game go to your career, then to car select and you will see that your 0 credit cars are now worth x credits, i currently have about 4 million career credits.

3rd. keep racing races you have won 500 credits a win takes time but there you go
