No start your own custom game/lobby!

Does anyone else agree that not being able to start your own custom game/lobby is really dissapointing..? I don't understand why ubisoft have to f*ck about with the game menu's so much they should just take what they had with the rainbow six 3 game & roll with it, Or they should just look at what the halo 2 online lobby was like and match it (apart from all the lag/hacking of course lmao) it's simple 1/ create your own game lobby 2/ be able to invite friends & 3/ ranked games if you want them & 4/ clan games.

I do agree that this is yet another 360 title that lacks customization in the lobby set-up (saints row wtf) like you say i dont see why you cant just host your own game and invite friends to play against others as you feel more open when chating and playing with friends. However
There is a perfectly logical reason they try to stop people from hosting ranked games and inviting there friends there called what i beleive to be BOOSTERS.
The whole point in a ranked game is to compete against the world in order to find out how good you are compared.
Then as soon as there is an achievement for reaching a certain rank you will always get the boosters who do nothing but make a room to kill there friends because there to bad at the game to get it legit.
Hence ruining the experiance for everyone else in the game
Ask anyone from the early days on battlefield 2 bf 360 you have 12 on each team.
One team is all in for the fight while 5 guys on your team are all sitting at the base health crate grenading themself just enough so they get a point for healing themselfs at end of the round they would have more pts than you and rank up for doing nothing so instead of 12 vs 12 you get 12 vs 7
I know most of you have stopped reading by now or fell asleep but i do agree with random ranked games with no invites, player games however should not matter make a room invite whoever you want.
Having rambled on for to long already you might notice that splinter cell has no option for ranked or unranked matchs but a % is added to your players characteristics judging by how well you do in a round so needless to say all sc games are ranked hence no invites to avoid boosting

maybe they'll do what COD2 did and come out with a patch later on that makes it to where you can start your own lobby without having to make a private match, but it dosnt really bother me with this game if i cant make a match....

You can choose between ranked and unranked if you press x in the menu, you also lose 500 points against your rank if you leave during the match.

idk even kno how to check my rank but the easiest way to make ur own host is if u choose a map like blue diamond or motorway bc thats what i do and i get host everytime

its stupid that u can't host a public lobby (unless u get lucky), but i think everybody wants to host these days to have control & not worry about being kicked out or 'host has ended session'. imagine if everyone was hosting ?? who would we play against. if they did give you the option to open a public lobby there would be more hosts than players. but still i would like to see the option for hosting your own. COD 2 lobbies are the best so far i think

this is exactly the reason why online achievments are ruining xbox live. Fair enough the achievment system is pretty well done in terms of offline play but nobody plays on xbox live for fun anymore its all about boosting and folk cheating to win. At the end of the day developers should just stick to making the effort to make their games fun online , instead of throwing in online achievments to be sure their games are played online. If its good online WE WILL PLAY IT
