i am so sick of people complaining about people getting chainsaw kills online.
its driving me crazy. i dont go a single game without someone complaining about getting a chainsaw kill and how noobish it is and blah blah blah.

Only bit I find annoying is when its unstoppable, eg mass bullets into the gun or a shotgun SHOULD stop them, but no they can walk through that and chainsaw me.....

also its annoying when thats ALL someone does and doesnt use a single other weapon or fire a bullet

I complain when people chainsaw as it shows that the person can't get kills any other way. Same as when everyone presses the B button in shotgun battles. Nobody has skill on this game, its just smoke grenade, chainsaw and punch. They should go play Fight Night for fucks sake.

pretty much the truth, chainsawing is cool and all but people go overboard with it sometimes.

The chainsaw is a frustrating weapon when you get killed by it but there is no better feeling than sneaking up an unsuspecting person and chainsawing him in the back, especially if he is trying to do the same to someone else.

If the chainsaw bothers you so much why are you playing being as there are plenty of other shooters that don't feature a chainsaw.

But if it isn't the chainsaw it will always be something else such as the rocketwhores in halo etc.

The only time the chainsaw annoys me, is when people are hiding around the corneer, with there camera at a weird angle, just waiting for me to walk up, then they just rev it and walk into the side of me and then think they are mega-hardcore about it because they got a kill.

Other than that, its annoying when a bullet doesnt stop it when it should, but thats the games fault, so meh.

Rocket whoring takes some skill though. Its still a weapon that needs to be aimed at a certain area for a kill. What sort of skill is "OMGOSH HOLD B AND RUN FOWARD". It also has such a dramatic cutscene for something that requires so little effort. The little guy-getting-chainsawed cutscene is only good if you've just won a chainsaw battle, cause then you actually did work for your kill.

I find the fact that Marcus Fenix is holding a lancer on the cover ironic because if you use it you are spammed. Hopefully, for 95% of the Gears population, he holds a shotty on the 3rd game. I'm a chainsaw whore, in both games combined I total over 10,000 ranked chainsaws. However, give me a shotgun, torque, or sniper, I'll still bash the other team in.

At the end of every game, I am typically the leading scorer. I always leave my party to hear all the shotguners complain. All I have to say is "that my grenade plants and chainsaws have gotten me twice the kills your shotgun did, Perhaps you should switch."

I have terrible rep, but who cares, my k/d is respectable, unlike others who complain.

Seriously I don't care much about chainsaw now, yeah I get killed maybe 1 time each game, but much of the time I hear the chainsaw so I can shotgun the guy or just jump and run away. I would prefer if Epic can correct the lag issues first, because sometime I just lag and get chainsawed and that's the thing I hate the most...get killed because of a lag.

i use them myself, it is normal for people to complain
about getting killed over xbox live, i do all the time
Not acturly on the forums but i get pissed off at the time
not at the person but with myself of how stupid i was not to
use a diffrent tactic.

Its peoples opinions No need to cut ur wrists over it or anything
just Let them complain, i havent seen many people complaining
recently. You shouldnt let people get at you so easily O.o
like are you new to Live or somthing? Stop getting upset and ignore it.

Yeah, the chainsaw is definitely a little too unbalanced. It can suck you in from about 5 feet away sometimes, and most people just feel that it's a cheap way to get a kill.

Sometimes shooting them when they are revving the chainsaw lowers it, but most of the time it doesn't, and that's stupid. And you'll always get that game when you get chainsawed 6 or 7 times in a row, maybe get killed by a Boomshot in between...

If you're sick of chainsaws...chainsaw back. Chainsaw duel, give them a taste of their own medicine...etc. I personally like that some people try to chainsaw. Sometimes they succeed, but sometimes they roll and try to run at you with it revved, only to get downed and killed from a distance. I'd say it's 50/50 when you shotgun them and they stop or get downed. Depends on lag as well, as when a game is laggy the chainsaw seems to be everyone's best friend.

ive been finding that once you get higher up in the rankings no one really uses chainsaws anymore everyone just starts using shotties, oh and dunt forget the ever luvable torque ^_^

I really go back and forth on this subject. Some days I think, "Oh my god if I hear a chainsaw rev one more time I'm quitting the game!" and other days...I'm just as bad as the next douche-saw user.

What if they came out with a game mode called "No Lancers?" You'd still have the Hammerburst for long distance assault rifle-ish stuff, you'd have the shotgun for close combat but NO chainsaw kills. For some people that would take the cheese out of Gears again.

Rocket Whoring and Chainsaw whoring and Sniper whoring and Torque bow whoring and Mortar whoring and Energy Sword whoring and Grenade whoring. They all take skill, some are just easier then others. The Chainsaw is a great addition to a game, chainsawing someone in half how can't that be great? I don't use the Chainsaw (I spawn with Hammerburst) but I don't mind getting chainsaw'd. The worst thing about Gears 2 has got to be the two piecing, but it's a game. It breaks you away from stress and reality - well suppose to. We all want to blow our bosses in half with a Gnasher Shotgun to the face and then tea-bag them, but sadly we can't so we let our fustrasion out in a game of FUN. Please - no more complaining, it's getting old.

i got a message saying "stop holding down the fucking b button you pussy!" well i'm aussie in an american game and what else am i meant to do, i had a 3 sec shotty delay and we did win, i got bout 17 kills with chainsaw and he was using a shotty amd it's funny when you chainsaw a guy with the shotty. but when i got host of a agme (no shotty lag) everyone else did and they used chainsaw while i used shotty and i didn't mind.

so really why dont they tell epic to fix their servers! i read the daily message saying they fixed it but no they havent really. (i haven't been on GoW2 for a few days so it might have changed)
