le b3nz0r
[iMPORTANT NOTE] -There have been some major updates to the guide, so much in fact that I do believe this guide to be complete. This is subject to your interpretation, however. I do not have all of the achievements in this game, but I had a discussion with WheresUrH3ad (who has 200/200 in this game) who was very helpful in clearing up some of the more vague achievement descriptions. At any rate, do yourself a favor and re-read the guide. There was definitely some misinformation that was given by me and it is now nonexistent. Now on to the guide. [/iMPORTANT NOTE] If you have never played dominoes before, there is a tutorial available in-game to get yourself familiarized with each gametype. For further reading, I have posted links at the bottom of this post. Be wary that some of the information in the links might not apply to this game, as such it should be considered supplemental reading. It is highly recommended that you familiarize yourself with the games you're going to be playing in order to be better equipped to earn these achievements. I'm open to any comments/complaints/suggestions/questions/discussion. A few tips: -Always keep track of what the opponent doesn't have. If they had to draw last time there was a 2 and a 5 on the table, do your best to leave only 2s and 5s on the table again. This leads naturally to: -Always try to set the computer up so you can block them. Oftentimes you will know exactly what tile the opponent is holding if you pay close enough attention. This tactic will greatly increase your chances for survival when attempting to beat the computer on the higher difficulties. -You're sure to be mashing the A button quite often. I know I am. When making a play, however, take your time. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally laid a domino in the wrong spot because I was mindlessly tapping A, not thinking that there was another place my tile could go. These types of small mistakes can cost you an entire game. Don't be like me! -Always be mindful of the count! What I mean by the count is, how many points you're holding your hand that your opponent would get if they went domino. Play high tiles early and keep low tiles late; this alone will save you countless times. -For all single player achievements, you should play against only one opponent. -When playing All 3's and All 5's, don't immediately place a domino just because you notice it will score for you. Always evaluate every play you have in order to maximize points for that turn. If you find you can't score any points that turn, do your best to lower the count as much as possible, block the opponent from playing, and/or dump high-count tiles. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/-dv5dA==.jpgFirst Win - 5http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win a game in single player Pick the gametype you're most comfortable with and win one game of it in single player. Set the AI to Beginner. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/--rwwQ==.jpgBeat the Masters - 15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win 10 games against Master AI(s) Win 10 games of any type with the difficulty set to Master. All 3's with a 100 score limit will make the games much shorter. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/-hoIUg==.jpgGuru Beater - 20http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win 40 games against Guru AI(s) Win 40 games of any type with the difficulty set to Guru. All 3's with a 100 score limit and a 9/9 domino set will make the games very short, and will help you on your way to the "All 3's Winner" achievement as well. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/+7jjqw==.jpgDoubles - 15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win at least 1 round with at least 1 of each double placed last What this means is you must end a round with each of the double tiles available in the game. Specifically, 0-0 all the way up through 12-12. 0-0 through 6-6 are available in any gametype, any set of dominoes. To be able to play 7-7, 8-8, and 9-9, you must be using the 9/9 domino set under the rules menu, or play Mexican Train. In order to play 10-10, 11-11, and 12-12, you must be playing the Mexican Train gametype, as this is the only gametype that offers a 12/12 set of dominoes. *Credit to WheresUrH3ad for clarity on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/+lgbOA==.jpgSuper Blocker - 10http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win 30 blocked rounds. To win a blocked round, the round must end with all tiles already drawn from the bone yard. If the opponent is unable to play a tile, and is also unable to draw, the round is considered a blocked round. I would consider trying All 5's, starting hand at 5, and 9/9 domino set. In effect this will make you much more likely to have to draw tiles, and with enough luck, this will work against the AI. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/+HkSjQ==.jpgPerfect Game - 20http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win a game without drawing You must win a game, not just a round, without ever drawing a tile. This will have a lot more to do with luck than skill. All 5's with a 100 score limit may allow you a short enough game to increase your odds. You can try using a 9/9 set and attempt to run out of dominoes as fast as possible rather than try to score points. If you're lucky enough to use all 5 dominoes in a row and your opponent has had to draw a massive amount, you could potentially end the game in one round when the count comes in. In either case, this achievement will require a whole lot of luck, and a good amount of playing strategy to go with it. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/+ZnqHg==.jpgAll 5's Winner - 10http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win 50 All 5's games You must win 50 games of the All 5's gametype. Unsure as of yet whether this counts both Single Player and Multi-player. If you're unsure how to play this gametype, consult the links below. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/+r7+EA==.jpgAll 3's Winner - 10http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win 30 All 3's games You must win 30 games of the All 3's type. You must win each of the 5 gametypes once in Player match *as well as* once each in Ranked matches. This takes 15 wins total. You can find partners to help in the achievement trading thread, located here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=86382 *Credit to WheresUrH3ad for clarity on this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/+sHi9w==.jpgMega Player - 25http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Win 5 rounds in a row To win a round, you must rid yourself of all your dominoes before your opponent does. Do this for 5 rounds in a row and the 25 points is yours. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/845/+yEaZA==.jpgAll 3's Guru - 40http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg Get 36 points 3 times (when playing All 3’s game with double 9 domino set) You do NOT have to do these in the same game, as previously mentioned. You must score 36 points in a game on 3 separate instances to obtain this achievement. To score 36 points, the open end of every domino on the board must add up to 36. For more instruction on this gametype, consult the links below. Some advice on this one: play against one opponent, set the difficulty to Guru, and play to 300, to give yourself more opportunity for the point total to get that high. *Credit to WheresUrH3ad for clarity on this achievement, as well as the advice. ****HOW TO PLAY**** Straight: http://www.domino-games.com/domino-rules/domino-basics.html All 5's: http://www.domino-games.com/domino-rules/allfives-rules.html All 3's: http://www.domino-games.com/domino-rules/allthrees-rules.html Mexican Train: http://www.compendia.co.uk/dominoes.htm Bergen: http://www.domino-games.com/domino-rules/bergen-rules.html Edited December 10, 2008 by le b3nz0r

Written N Blood
Just a question but does the double count only if you play it as the last tile in your hand or does it count if it is the last tile played on the board. I.E. I was playing all 5's and had ninety points. The next hand that was dealt I led out with the double 5 and reached 100 points and it was the end of the game. Does that count or not? le b3nz0r
That's a pretty good question. It'd be a bit tough to get the answer without someone obtaining the achievement knowing that one of the doubles had ONLY been played to end a game even though it wasn't the last tile played on the board. Wish I had more information for you.
Black Tango
For All 3's Guru, why set the difficulty to Guru (unless you're still working on your 40 Guru wins, that is)? I played Beginner/100 point games and unlocked this long before I hit my 30 all 3's wins.
