Refurbished 360 problem.
I sent my 360 away and got a refurbished one, manufactured April 2006, 3 weeks ago. For the last 2 weeks, it has been freezing while loading games if on for more than half an hour. I have tried multiple games, with the same problem. I was just wondering if this would be covered by the warranty on refurbished consoles, or if I would have to wait till it red ringed to get it repaired/ replaced.

If they wont take it back, then wrap it in wet towels and leave it on for a few hours and that will red ring it for sure.
Just say to them that the REPLACEMENT CONSOLE they gave you doesnt work. And remember to emphasise that is a 'REPLACEMENT CONSOLE' shout it down the phone if you have to. |

I had the same problem sent my xbox 360 in with disc drive problems, took 6-7 days to get one back, turned out to be a refurbished one was like meh. Plugged everything in...and the stupid piece of shit didn't turn on, called up Microsoft abused them and they made me send in power cables? was like ok i'll give them benefit of the doubt, went over to my friend's house after posting them plugged in my xbox 360 in their cables...and guess what it still didn't work! Called up microsoft again and abused away lol, sent it away 2 weeks ago and still waiting on a 360 to turn up on my doorstep. Least now I got a brand new power cable...would be great to have a console to go with it

I'm going to try calling Microsoft tonight and see if they can get this straightened out. I'm actually starting to consider selling my 360 and getting a PS3 when it gets fixed.
Edit: I turned it on a minute ago, and it has started making this grinding noise at startup. Last edited by Yung Lil Fly; 12-01-2008 at 06:12 PM. |
