It can be done in any mode, in any street fighter, hehe.

"fierce" just means that you have to use HP.

ok i so must clearly suck. I am in local multiplayer mode right now and i get Sagat down to a sliver of health and then i do a "fierce shoryuken" but i still aint getting the achievement.

I am hitting "down + LB" is this wrong?

--, | , \+HP, have to do all three joystick motions (f,d,df). Just tap f, then go to d and slide your thumb back towards f as you hit punch. It's just like throwing his fireball except you hit f first.


If you do it correctly, Ryu will fly upwards screaming "SHOOOOORYUUUKEN"

for some reason, I thought it said to do a "shin shoryuken"

and I'm all sitting here thinking "WTF...it isnt even in this game!!!"

so just a fierce shoryuken...thats easy stuff

Has anyone gotten it in local match yet? I've finished the fight 5 times with the move and it never unlocks.

I suggest you people : get to Sagat in easy, beat him to a pulp and just do a fierce shoryuken. If doesn't work, let him beat you or something.

I did it this way, think it's possible in multi but not sure. Best bet is still arcade.

I got it on my 1st attempt in Arcade mode..
And i got it for my nephew in Vs mode with 2 controllers.

Its dead easy... Just drain Sagats health until there is no more than half a centremeter left.
Then do a jumping uppercut(using HP) with Ryu to finish him off

I'm having the same problem, I know im using the move correctly, but when he goes down theres no unlocked achievement =/

I believe you HAVE to do it using the Fierce Punch button only, Jab and Strong will not do it.

I am having the same problems. I beat sagat three times with a Shoryuken but no achievement.

Dont see whats hard about this?

Setup a 2 player local game, pick Ryu VS Sagat, then do the move to finish him, it unlocks, easy.

Press forward, then slide your thumb through to down, then slide to forward down, and hit HP, must be HP.

It WILL unlock, if not then your doing it wrong.


And if anyone cant do a Shoryuken, then good luck with combomaniac lol

I had problems becuase I don't use all the move technical terminology. But in simplar terms press towards the enemy then down and then slide to down/forwards and press the left bumper to do a fierce attack. Do that in local/online ranked/or arcade against sagat and bam 10G's

HP = Hard Punch

We tend to use that over the normal arcade controls, as they're difficult to remember (Jab, Strong, Fierce/Short, Forward, Roundhouse instead of LP, MP, HP/LK, MK, HK).

I really dont get why any cant get this.. Its one the easiest achievements in the game.
it was the 2nd achievement i got after the Super Finisher one.

• Start a single player game
• Arcade mode
• HD Remix mode
• Easy mode
  
• Pick Ryu
• fight your way to Sagat
• Reduce his health to about half a cm
• Then do a fierce Shouryuken(uppercut with LB)(Unless you have changed your controls) to finish him off

This is the movement with the stick or D-Pad that you need to do, to do an uppercut +

I dont think i can explain it much clearer .

Yeah i will do arcade next, since local mode just doesn't want to work. I'm doing it correct and rather easily too. No biggie since i need to beat it again.

Seriously people, the game has been around for what 20 years? Press start and look at the moves. It tells you how to do everything. Put it on easy or get in a match with someone and just do a shoryuken with fierce punch (thats the hardest punch noobs ) until you get it.

in short if you need to ask you are more than likely using default controls.
HP = Hard (Fierce) Punch is mapped to the left bumper (not trigger, bumper)

ok first of all. thankyou to deadly moves for providing that little diagram because that definitely helps. everyone having trouble should use that. Secondly, the only way for Ryu to do his fierce uppercut is if you are sort of walking into Saget for about 1-2 seconds while he is against the far right of the screen ( push him there) and then you do it. so dont tap right to begin with, just hold it, then continue the combo ( down, down slide to right + lb ). other wise ur only going to do the little uppercut even though you are pressing left bumper. hope this helps.

I actually unlocked this in a ranked match and wasn't really trying to get it, but was surprised at the requirements to get it.

aha i just did it, but i was pressing just a normal punch and it wasnt working, you have to press LB

Also works with Ryu's Shinkuu Hadouken super, though I didn't expect it to (and the description doesn't say it does). Was trying for the shoryuken and was getting frustrated because CPU Sagat zones like a mofo, so when my super meter maxed I unloaded. The move connected, I won the match, and the achievement popped. I'm still scratching my head as to why it unlocked, but there it is.
