NEWBIE QUESTION: How to get the History Book achievement?
So I would really appreciate if someone would tell me
how to get the History Book(?) achievement? I'm sure it's a pretty simple achievement but there has been no discussion of this achievement here and I haven't got it yet although I've played one game. And no, I have never watched American Football. ,Zmoke

Does Madden 06 allow you to edit players? I'm having a horrid time even coming close to getting a sack, even with the sliders adjusted. Might have to tweak my opponent.
Ah, my teammates just got a sack...as I'm typing this.. perhaps I should not play defense more often..

Sorry for the bump but I must ask this before I go somewhere. Can you get the 4 sacks with two controllers? I asked at xbox.com because the server here was being upgraded. Anyways please reply soon guys.

The last two achs I need is
Rush for 200 Yards & Win a Franchise Game. Any tips for these achs?? WOOOO! Just got them both

lol, they're playing Welcome Home right now at the menu. I'd never have known that song if it weren't for Rock Band ...
I realize this is an ancient game, but some people were still posting questions about it, plus I am just finishing it up ... After a few seasons of simming unsuccessfully, what I'd recommend for winning the Super Bowl is giving yourself all the teams. If you do it in season 1, you might have to cut someone from the Raiders to get under the cap, but after that you just sim all the way through the season to win. If you are having trouble with the single-game achievements (350 passing, 200 rushing, 4 sacks), set the difficulty to Rookie; if necessary, increase the quarter length. Take a good team like the Colts and play a bad team like San Francisco. No, you don't have to do them all in one game, but you should be able to do it ... I took the Colts against the 49ers with 10-minute quarters and got about 400 yards passing in the first half. Even with a bad pass defense, the Colts will eventually sack Rattay 4 times. Oh yes, you don't have to be the player getting the sack. I don't think I got any myself: you just have to have four or more sacks as a team.

Just a tip, you dont get the achievements until after you finish the game, I didnt see that mentioned anywhere.

Just so you know I had a lot of trouble using the Giants. They couldn't make the playoffs and ironically Coughlin was fired after the 2008 season. He kept bouncing from team to team so I just started over.

Just turn offsides all the way down and cheat. Stand right by the quarter back and boom.
Thats how I got it but then I actually played the super bowl during franchise mode and had 5 sacks in one game legit so I would have got it anyways. I'm so glad I have PiP on my TV. Got to catch up on my shows for 3 -4 hours and sim franchise mode. I think my passing is glitch I'm at 600 and something in my stats but don't have it yet. |

wow this game difficulty is defiantly 0 or 1/10 0 if you actually play madden otherwise maybe 1 i did this in maybe 30 mins not including the 30 years. and anyone with a knowledge of menu navigation can sim franchise lol. i got an added 1000 gamerscore in under a day way back pre NXE

4 sacks in a game achievement
I have tried several times to gat this one with no success.
Is there any requirements to get this? I've gotten 6 to seven sacks with no result. I've also tried with 2 controllers and anyway i can lol Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

only achievement i have left to get is rush 200yards i dont know how to is there an easy way to do this im english and dont even know what a rush is i looked on the guide but it didnt make much sense to me

does it matter if you get fired while you are simulating the 30 years? because i boosted all my stats and lowered theirs and i still get my ass kicked while simulating. please let me know
