Final Boss (Spoilers Inside)

I actually liked the final boss, as huge as he was or she. Typical though to go along with the other bosses and creatures in the game with the yellow orbs you have to shoot, so I was wondering if that's what was hiding on the outside of the ship all this time grabbing at you. Another thing I was wondering, what happened to the Ishimura after the final few scenes, still floating in space or? So who was freaked out by the ending in the shuttle? I had my controller sitting in my lap when all of a sudden that final scene happened and it started to vibrate, I almost jumped out of my chair.

Lol I heard that a lot people got scared when she pops out at the end. I don't know if it was the boss all along but it may very well be the case. I never thought of it like that but I did think that it may of been the same one that you had to shoot with the cannons earlier on

Those things that grabbed you were not the Hive Mind, since the Hive Mind was on the planet the entire time. The things that grabbed you were just random large creatures.

And I wonder if Isaac lives...

Lol, the final boss was actually pretty cool in my perspective.Yes, I also did get scared when Nicole comes out....Did Issac live?

I freaked out when she popped up at the end. I set the controller down on the desk after the final boss it also didn't help that I was playing like at 2am. I jumped something fierce. LOL!

I liked the Hive Mind aswell and I also liked the Leviathan, both were pretty fun to play.

I wasn't so much scared as I was completely blind sided. I had no idea it was coming and well yes I guess I did get startled. The few twists in the game were great aswell. I thought for sure Hammond was going to betray me and then the doctor You have to help in mission 11 but had no idea it would be Kendra.

I actually lucked out on the final boss thing... if you replay it there is a tentacle to the far right, that hugs the Glass and the building, making sort of a ledge, and it curls behind so you cant run away. But after he had me up in the air with the tentacles at one point it ended up throwing me right on top of that ledge... i was standing on that tentacle that didnt move lol i just stayed there, everything he was throwin was right in the middle so it all missed me, i just waited til his rib cage opened each time.

First off let me say that the final boss fight was delicious. In my personal opinion the best games are games that you don't have to play the same scene twice for the simple fact of NOT KNOWING, like when you encounter a new enemy an instantly die since you had no prior knowledge to how said enemy functions.

Dead Space came through with flying colors for the most part, putting you in situtations where your just like WTF now what? And when you finally muck up and you think "oh god can this be the end!?" it does something awesome, it puts you closer and closer to death for each second you waste while it gives you an incredible chance to redeem your self.

Such as its quick time events and esspecially when the final boss finally got a-hold of me. That was a panic momment and how smooth it flipped you over and pulled you up hell I thought I wouldnt of had control of anything and I had already lost, but no I immediatly realised I could have a half assed chance to save my skin and let me just say it was CLOSE!

Might I add I played the whole game on hard first time through and enjoyed every second of it

Having beat the Final Boss 3x now (2x on Medium and 1x on IMPOSSIBLE) I loved it as well.
Even though oddly, it was one of the rare times I NEVER died!?!?!
On IMPOSSIBLE I just used the fully loaded PULSE RIFLE and made short work of her/him/it.
A very, very fun battle.
Easy, but not the letdown of the Final Fontaine battle in BIOSHOCK.

The Fontaine Battle in Bioshock blew chunks... seriously.

I would've rather fought an extremely tough splicer. Or maybe a bunch of Big Daddies... one right after the other.

As for Dead Space. The end boss fight was epic. Though I couldn't help but think of it as the Gravemind fight you never got to experience in Halo 3. Or Halo 2...

Honestly, I think they would've been the exact same.

I just finished the game for the first time, and I got to say I jumped when I saw Nicole jumping on Isaac...I was like ''Wow nice end...now it's finished I guess'' and just as I was thinking to that..Bang! Lol

Just played it again and I can say imo it is the best final boss battle in a game I have played for a while. The Leviathan is fun aswell.

The last boss is the kind of boss i was expecting by playing this game. I mean, they could have done like 2 or 3 more bosses as epic as this one, that could have been great!

But anyway the game is just awesome the way it is^^

And yeah, kinda jump out of my chair when I saw the last scene >.<

Second reaction was "OMFG nooooo not Isaac!!!" ... Yup even if he is a bit... Silent? I guess I love this character!

Well it's nice to know I'm not the only one that jumped at the end. Whoever left there controller on something hard when it shook I feel your pain, I was watching it, put the controller down on the desk, it made it seem all sad n depressing then BAM that bitch crawls out, screamin when everythings quite and shaking the controller on the hard desk. NO GAME ever startled me but this game got me good a couple times.

The end got me
Times I would be checking inventory or the store and I see those scissor lookin' arms hangin' over me waiting till I exit the store or sumthing. I jumped those times when I wasn't expecting it and they right behind me.

Yeah the end Boss fight was amazing, it's a shame in most games that you can't just sit down with these ugly angry alien things and work shit out.

And yes, I jumped a lot at the very end, ended up swearing at the TV

I came back to Dead Space after about 3 weeks off so I could finish the game on Insane and am up to the Hive mind. The part where it grabs u is actually pretty tough because it takes alot more hits and it is hard to aim. I finally got that part done and thought it would be a piece of cake but then it spat out two pregnants which distracted me and somehow I died, I don't know how though. It must have crushed me but I had full health at the time. I turned the game off after I died this time because I was getting tired. I was wondering is it normal on Insane for it to spit out enemies and if so is it just this one time or throughout the rest of the battle?

Beat it and now have 1000

The break I took done wonders and I beat it first turn.
