My game keeps freezing!

I've reached a certain point in the game where I have to talk to Emma and after I do the game freezes shortly after. I've tried transfering the game to a memory stick but that doesn't solve anything. I only just got this game yesterday and the last thing I want is to not be able to finish it because the game decides to crap out on me. Has anyone else had this problem too?

Clean the disc with a soft cloth.

if that doesn't work, re-download the game.
