Monster Guide

Before monsters appear you must catch that type of species first, i.e. once you catch a largemouth bass, Dottie will appear, etc. If you have 'messages' turned on, it will notify you when a monster fish is unlocked.

In Free Fishing, select the lake and make the adjustments listed below [leave everything else random]. The location of the monsters varies, but it will show on the map as a small blue dot.

I recommend activating the Lake Challenge to catch a monster first, that way you'll get both things done at one time!

Thanks very much. I am sure this is going to help alot.

To unlock a Monster Fish, can it be caught in Tournament or does it have to be in free fishing ?

Fish caught in tournaments or free fishing will unlock monsters. I'm not sure however, whether monster can be caught during tournaments. I did all mine in free fishing.

Thanks for the tips, and MEGA props on all your achievements. no offense, but how much time do you put into playing XBOX360. I play XBOX360, PS3 and World of Warcraft. So I don't have a ton of achievements as you can see.

la guia esta mal lo mejor es cargar los 7 mapas mirar en todas las estaciones y mañana mediodia y tarde

I don't think the guide is wrong, but if you can be more specific with the problem you're having perhaps I can help.

Translation (?)

No creo que la guía está mal, pero si puedes ser más específico con el problema que está teniendo tal vez pueda ayudarte.
